Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So many colourful buildings around this scenic plaza. The most popular spot of all visitors and residents. Always busy and filled with life.

Step into the center of the plaza by the monument and turn around 360 degrees and take in all the beautiful historic buildings around you.

Plaza de La Paz is hard to miss if you’re strolling the streets of Guanajuato anyway, but I still need to reinforce how crucial it is that you experience it when you’re there. Hence my title, this plaza is one of several nuclei for activity for tourists and locals alike. It’s central to most anything else you’ll be doing in the city, so taking in the incredible atmosphere here is easy and important.

It’s safe and easy to navigate. Hope you enjoy this beautiful bundle of history, culture, and architecture in central Guanajuato!

My wife and I walked past this small plaza several times going here and there before we had a really good idea. Instead of rushing through, maybe we should stop, have dinner at one of the cafes that ring the plaza, and watch Mexico stream by us at a speed unknown to the people of the United States. And so we did. It was a delightful experience. To truly appreciate the leisurely pace of Mexican life, you need to be able to slow yourself down enough to actually experience it for yourself. Plaza de la Paz is the perfect place to do that. Oh, by the way, several mariachi bands serenaded us as we sat there.

Close by two churches and at a cross roads between going up or down in the historic area, the plaza boasts a beautiful 2903 sculpture by a famous Mexican Artist.

right in the middle of town just next to the basilica of guanajuato is the plaza de la paz or place of peace. it has a small, grass and flower covered park with benches on a small hill overlooking the streets and outdoor cafes and shops of sopena street. it's a great place to plan to meet people because it is central and, if they're late, you won't mind waiting there because it's so lovely. the basilica is right there, so you must visit it with it's ornate baroque interior.

Sunny, colorful wide-open friendly, pedestrian plaza with many beautiful sights within the immediate square. The Basilica, great outdoor cafes, restaurants, museums, shopping, good pharmacy -- all within the square. You could spend half the day there!

We ate several times at La Tasca De La Paz in this plaza and found the whole experience delightful. Lots of activity and beautiful sights all around.
