After spending a few months in the Baja desert, I was so thrilled to walk around a park with tall trees and shade! January in Mexico City is gorgeous and temperate, a perfect getaway from the US winter. I spent all day walking around and didn't see all the museums. So much to take in! I loved that some parts... Chapultepec park is a nice park in the middle of Mexico City. There you will find lots of trees, a lagoon, botanical gardens, zoo, and much more - including (of course) the Chapultepec castle. Spend and hour or two or stay all day.

If you would be tired of always noisy Mexico city - just know that right here is a place for recreation - Chapultepec park. It worth to visit in any day, take long walks though the woods, visit zoo or Palace, sust sit of lie on the grass... and you will be recharged for the next submerging into the urban... More

A gorgeous place close to the hotel we stayed, so much space easy to find a secluded area to have a seat, watch the world go by. Read, or whatever. A really nice place to spend an afternoon

Chapultepec Park is one of the loveliest parks in any large city. It is clean, safe, well-lit, and has many beautiful fountains and statues, as well as large, shady trees. Take a seat on one of the many wrought iron benches, and watch the city play out.

Shaded by trees, crisscrosses with paths, a place to jog or simply relax. There's museums, history, ponds and plenty of stalls to keep anyone happy.

If you're in Mexico City, I'd say you must go to Chapultepec Park, as if you go to NYC, you'd go to Central Park. There's a nice zoo there, near the Museum of Anthropology and a good place to walk.

This is a beautiful, family-friendly place, perfect for a Sunday outing (we visited on Christmas Day 2016). One can boat on the lake, browse a bookstore, grab a bite to eat, walk for miles on the well-maintained paths, enjoy the crowds (and there ARE crowds, mostly families enjoying themselves in the lovely surroundings). This is a great break from the... More

This park us close to both the castle, and the frankly astounding Anthropology Museum. You can take a bus there for 5 Pesos very easily, as everyone knows Chapultepec. Go early, and you'll be able to take a jog, buy a hot dog, or relax and watch the world go by before hitting the local sights to see.

Thee a number of things to do in this park as you can see on tripadvisor but remember one thing - its huge! To get from one place to another is a lot of walking so don't try to do too much at once. We did the anthropology museum and castle and that was enough. The zoo wasn't worth it.... More
