There’s a tremendous amount of gold decorating two separate alters. Huge organ; people praying, not much else to say but it’s a beautiful church.

the basilica is unreal and completely worth going to see - the layout of the church makes it easy so you do not offend or interrupt anyone during mass.

Definitely a stop if you are religious but also cultural. You can understand so much of the catholic culture in America and the museum is great. Nice collection of paintings!

The Basilica is spectacular both for The new and Old structures. The exhibit OF The shroud is organized and well guarded by staff. The mass I think are every hour ON saturday and sunday. A must visit for devotees in The City.

You can go to the Shrine by yourself anytime, just be careful with your belongings, avoid jewelry and so on, there are lots of people around. I would not stay in any hotel close by, choose your hotel and go to the... More

They have masses every day but not sure on Easter Sunday. Beware as the crowds will be huge.

I don't know for sure. but I would guess there is some access given the fact that lots of people visit the temple for healing purpose.

The museum was closed on Monday, but everything else was open.
