Get there early and be prepared to be amazed by the extensive. Collection. I did not have a lot of prior exposure to the history of Mexico in the museum kept my attention

If you are in Mexico City. This is a must! You can spend all day here visiting the different expositions. From a replica of Lucy to now.

Excellent Museum. Get a good tour guide if possible or buy an guidebook. Not all exhibits have translations from Spanish to English. So interesting and worth spending an entire day!

You will probably only manage to see the ground floor. If you have only little time, concentrate on the hall with the Atztek history.

I Loved it. Very well designed museum. Concise and clear explanations of the pieces. Excellent way to know Mexican culture. The famous Mayan calendar is there.

Are backpacks allowed in the museum?

You will be ask to check your backpacks by security personnel and you will pick it back on exiting, a little voucher is provided for free and it is secure service.

They must be checked prior to entering the museum. The check is located near the gift shop.
