The 28th of each month is specifically devoted to San Judas Tadeo, patron saint of difficult situations. Visit the Templo de San Hipóltio downtown, at Paseo de la Reforma esq. Hidalgo (if you can get in), or just stay outside and see the people gather with their statues of San Judas. It's really something.

This place is devoted to one saint name San Judas Tadeo, if you have faith and believe in this Saint this is a place you should visit, They did not have mass the day we visited so we only took some pictures and went home.

The interior is interesting but unusual in the sense you go down a set of steps to get there. The neighbourhood is a bit stifling, a little more rundown and dodgy than the more touristy areas only a block or two away.

I visited San Hipolito specifically on Oct 28th for the blessing on San Tadeo. Thousands of people crowded the area with vendors of all sorts selling everything from religious icons, t-shirts, food and water. Getting into the church was an impossibility that day and it...More
