Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Among the hectares of fresh flowers sold here you'll find a bloom to match the colours of your eyes. Sitting beside this colourful bounty we sample the corn again, sizzling in great pots of gruel. Fried grasshopper, anyone? I love them. The femme raises two hands in disgust. There goes my kissing rights for a week. I was instructed to eat these fried delicacies with tortillas and guacamole. Try these for courage. Tortillas filled with chilli flavoured grasshoppers, liver, sheep's stomach, cheese and eggs. Feeling hungry?
Havin had my fix, i nibble on a delicious salad made from the pads of prickly pear cactus. Delicious.

It´s in a bit ugy area of the city, but it´s worth it. Go there to get some flours, even if you will put them at your hotel room.
really cheap!

I go to Jamaica just about once a month. I really like it there. You have to go after 8pm because that is when the trucks come and everything is a better price. You can do a little bartering. They have exotic fruits, vegetables, and nuts but the prices are quite a bit more expensive than other markets. 24 roses for around $3 usd.

Such an abundance of wonderful flowers and arrangements, plus so much more at this market. Walk through and enjoy the sights and smells, then exit on Avenida Guillermo Prieto to see the gorgeous murals along the side.

Visiting marketplaces is one of my favorite things to do. This market is exquisite. The sites, sounds, aromas and variety of produce and products is a delight.

We came here with our guide and this is the right place to begin an introduction to Mexican culture. Wide variety of food, groceries, useful tools/utensils for home, craft, etc. We learned about corn, chili, mole, etc..

We really enjoyed our visit to the Jamaica Market. The flower area smells so good! It's not chaotic like some of the other markets in town, and it has a great variety of flowers, food, and merchandise. The fruit stands are amazing, and we had an excellent green chorizo taco.

Ok so I went to Jamaica as its was close to where I was staying. I have been told by some to go to another. But my experience there was positive. I went there late night so there where several stall closed. I would say about 65 % were still open. You can go here for a bite to eat. To buy vegetables and fruits. I was there during the day of the dead week. So there were lots of souvenirs of that theme. This place also has lot of flower arrangements. I must see I would recommend it just for that. This place is huge, you can spend several hrs to walk around the entire place.

Jamaica Market is a must-visit place in CDMX for anybody that wants out of the touristy places for even just a minute. You can find everything here. And if you are in town for anything more than a (long) layover, I definitely recommend picking up some flowers at unbeatable prices to spruce up your living space. The fruit and veggies are also of great quality, and there are plenty if great crafted goods as well. An amazing market, through and through.

Although this market is known for their flowers (by all means buy flowers here, they are amazing and at a very low price. BUT if you wanted further in there are great food stalls offering fruits, vegetables and eating places you can take advantage of, search for "Carnitas Paty" a well known and loved stall if you love carnitas, they are worth searching for believe me. These are the "con copia tacos" (tacos with a copy) why? because they're so generous and give you two tortillas so you can make 2-3 tacos out of every one! Delicious! They also make their own Tepache (pineapple fermented with piloncillo)....
