Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a post office building. Antique and classic building which still operates since long time.
You can see everything as been built since last centuries. Marbles, Antiques, accessories, offices, handling areas, stairs, Chandlers and every thing in the building is beautiful to see.
A visit worth than all words

The Postal palace is still a functioning post office. It is quite pretty inside and there is a small exhibit of the history of the Postal service. Unfortunately all commentary is in Spanish, so English speakers can only appreciated the photos on show.

I visited the post office today and was floored by it’s beauty. I was on a free walking tour with Estacion Mexico and my guide explained that that the building materials were imported from Italy. You can see evidence of this on the bronze placard on the Newell post of the staircases by the elevators. It was a wonderful short visit. Half of the first floor is a museum and half is a working post office.

This is by far one of the most interesting buildings of the Porfirio Diaz era, reminiscent of the Venetian Gothic style. The inside served as an inspiration for customs/immigration office for the Dead in the movie "Coco" (wasn't told but recognized right away). Worth a glance.

This place is cool and only takes 5 minutes to stop in. It has lovely and showy adornments. Check out the exhibit to the left when you walk inside- it has an historical overview of postal services in Mexico. There's also a really cool mosaic made of stamps.

I already reviewed this building, I guess it faded in the web..
Anyhow, this is the main post office of the country and it operates as such, you can post a letter with their very proud post men and women behind bronze cast windows.
Its main feature is the superb bronze staircase. This building is across the street from Mexico City,s beautiful opera house ir Palacio de Bellas Artes.

As with many things in Mexico City, this palace was built in 1756 as a hospital by the Francis and. Gorgeous inside. It now functions a as the central post office of Mexico City. Gold design and decoration inside

This attraction is free to visit since it is still used as the main post office in Mexico City. The building is very attractive on the outside but even more impressive on the inside. The staircase is a marvel of construction, but it is off-limits to the public.

the oldest postal in the city! Just amazing. Our guide tour said that Gabriel Garcia Marquez, mail his novel One Hundred Years of Solitude (Cien años de soledad) at this Postal to Argentina. Every detail from the inside of the postal has a story!

Emblematic building...of the magnificent works from the beginning of the 19th century bequeathed by the "Porfiriato", it is always interesting to visit it, walk through those wide marble corridors...admire its artistic bronze ironwork imported from Italy...its street lamps and gargoyles. The German clock located in the tower.

How much $ is it to enter and see the inside of the building?
Written 4 December 2018
No charge. Gratis. Free. It is a major, working, public facility. You may need to pay only for special tours to upper levels but it is unnecessary to see the beautiful interior
