Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We absolute loved our tour with our driver and guide, Javier who was so very knowledgeable and attentive. We don't like the big tour experience or the obligatory shopping stops that often come with them. This tour was a bit pricier than others but you truly get what you pay for. We will definitely use this company the next time we are in Mexico City!

We had Jocan to take us on this tour and Sebastian who came along also. We couldn't have been more happier with the experience. Jocan and Sebastian were so informative, they really appreciated the artistic aspects of the art and added history and culture the sights we saw. Both young men were very engaging, passionate and knowledgeable about the art. It was great how Jocan was able to allow us to form opinions of the art and then we could discuss. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer, whether it be about art or any of our questions around the Government, history or culture. I would highly recommend this tour, thanks Jocan and Sebastian we thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

We are delighted you enjoyed the tour so much! Santiago and Jocan are both well-versed in life AND street art, yes!! Street art gives us such a wonderful chance to look into Mexico as a country, as well to enjoy some living art in a living space! For that reason we are careful to choose guides who understand that art can be a portal into many topics (as you discovered!) and that they be capable of handling different kinds of discussions with ease. We are so glad that you took full advantage of their backgrounds AND had a fun time on tour. Delighted in fact! We look forward to seeing you again in Mexico City next visit :) Best Laura

It was a truly exceptional experience. I would recommend it highly. Our guide was knowledgeable and seemed to really know his way around the city and was very amenable to our needs.

We had a birthday celebration with 35 friends and family. This tour was the highlight of the trip. The guides were super nice and very knowledgeable. The art is amazing - so beautiful and moving. We had great weather so the walk itself was delightful. Extra bonus is that you get a little tour of the Zona Histórico which has great architecture and vibrant street life. Completely happy. I’ll probably go on the tour next time I’m down (the art changes periodically).

It was a pleasure to host your group for this special celebration! Whenever we receive a big group booking like this one, we do our very best to make sure there is a good ratio of hosts/guides to visitors, so that everyone can stay engaged, have some fun, AND be well taken care of. We LOVED touring with you! Thank you for entrusting Stylewalk MX for the big day! And also many thanks for your wonderful comms in the tour planning stages. It always helps polish the plan when when we have clear guest input and feedback :) Sending you a BIG Feliz Cumpleaños (Happy Birthday) from Mexico City, Laura

The tour was interesting and we saw some interesting graffiti, but everything was on a two block radius and it was very slow. It could have definitely been done in less than 2 hours. Also, the explanations were very minimal, we mostly had to ask questions in order to lear more.

We are sorry to hear that your tour with Alex did not meet your expectations. It has been difficult to reconcile your feedback because Alex's last review - just one day before yours - says: "Alex pointed out many spots we likely would have missed & we loved hearing his knowledge on each piece - from the backstory of the artist(s) to how the piece came together (many are collaborations) & the historical or cultural significance of each piece. " We understand that every visitor has different needs and assessment criteria, but nonetheless there have only ever been positive responses regarding Alex's level of knowledge and personal input. Our street art guides understand that every tour guest has a different level of prior knowledge about the subject, and that therefore a big part of their job is to adapt and personalize the content and pace according to the person. Fortunately as they are active street artists themselves, there is actually no limit as to how much detail they can give! Once again are sorry you found the tour 'interesting' and the 'graffiti interesting' but didn't feel that overall it was worth it. If you had let us know in person, we would have happily reimbursed you. We wish you a wonderful 2020, with many stimulating adventures and travel stories! Best, Laura

Our guide, Alex, was awesome - we had the best time. Our group of 4 women are not well-versed in street art, merely just art lovers, and this was a great way to learn about the scene in a relaxed, casual way. Alex pointed out many spots we likely would have missed & we loved hearing his knowledge on each piece - from the backstory of the artist(s) to how the piece came together (many are collaborations) & the historical or cultural significance of each piece. All it all, his tour definitely made our experience in the city more memorable. And now we know the difference between a throw-up or a tag! :) Definitely recommend!

This was a perfect tour of La Roma. I am familiar with Mexico City and have done this same tour before, but La Roma is such a dynamic neighborhood and this tour was the ideal way to keep up. Camille was fantastic. We went to a pair of semi-private galleries that were totally new to me and were top notch. Great new shops for hip shopping I would not have easily found. Camille is also incredibly knowledgeable on the history and architecture and showed me new renovations and gave me insight into buildings I hadn't really noticed before. I go to CDMX every couple of years and will repeat this tour each time.

So happy to have you back with us Andrew! And even more happy to hear you enjoyed your second Roma tour just as much as the first. I will be sure to pass ion your compliments to Camille. Roma and Juarez really are fun neighbourhoods because there is so much change. It definitely keeps us on our toes, keeping up with it! This being said, I do think it's essence and vibe remain constant: a little bit quirky, always leafy and full of interesting hipster hotspots and people. Thankyou so much for your lovely feedback and we look forward to seeing you again your next trip! Best Laura

I really enjoyed my Street Art tour with Jocan.
Jocan really has a great way about him overall. He has an engaging personality, very natural and authentic. He relates very well to his audience, and is extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter. Jocan provided great insight into the symbolism and significance of each piece of art and the artists themselves. He offered interesting perspectives while encouraging the viewer to develop their own interpretation as well. He answered many questions I had, and also provided information on city, government and sponsorship support of Street Art in CDMX.
I would recommend Stylewalk as well as Jocan to anyone who may have an interest in a street art as well.
