Netouring is a family run business who have good attention to detail and deliver a unique experience to discover Mexico City.
The communication prior to my arrival in Mexico was excellent, I liaised with Kuny who responded within 12-24 hours (sometimes less which is great given the time difference from the UK)! I pretty much told him what I wanted to see & do, and he suggested the itinerary which worked out very well. One of the places we wanted to visit was the Luis Barragan House for which tickets are notoriously difficult to book, and he got them! So grateful for that. We did a private 2 day tour (my brothers & cousins) and had the pleasure of having Bernie as our guide who with 40 years experience is extremely knowledgeable, patient and is a wonderful storyteller.
On day 1 we visited the Teotihuacan Pyramids which were beautiful and lived up to my expectations, afterwards Bernie took us to a local Mexican restaurant in San Martin de las Piramides which was very special as we got to sample local food including a banana & rice dish which I would never have tried and really enjoyed. On day 2 we visited the Luis Barragan House and Frida Kahlo museum. A bonus for us was Bernie taking us to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe & Palacio de Tetitla on Day 1 and Museo Casa de Leon Trotsky on Day 2 which was fantastic as we didn't know we would visit these places. The history and information Bernie shared with us for all the places we visited was exceptional. It was amazing to visit all the places and equally amazing to have Bernie as our trusted guide. I would not hesitate to recommend Netouring to anyone visiting Mexico City who wants to see the traditional sites and more, and leave a lasting memory thanks to the authenticity and experience of the tour guide.

We have toured Mexico City with Isaac and Kunyseveral times over the past couple of years. This was our best tour yet including bicycle riding, walking and learning more about the city and its people. Thank you Isaac for a fantastic and informative day.

We have been on several day trips with Netouring during our visits to Mexico City over the past few years. This time we took a full day in Mexico City (Freda's House and area and Diego Rivera museum) and a visit to Puebla. The Puebla trip with Kuny and Bernie was fantastic, packed with city and local village touring by car and on foot, and a wonderful traditional comida in the city. Bernie shared his extensive knowledge of the region and city, and was so generous with his time and in sharing his personal story, and Kuny was fantastic as always - kind, generous, funny and extremely knowledgeable about Mexican history and culture. Our friends took an additional day with Isaac for the city walking tour, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend Netouring! They are the best!

We had a great time with Bernie, and he felt like a family member by the end of our time with him. Our conversations with Kuny set the stage for a very personalized tour of multiple areas in Mexico City led by Bernie, culminating with a wonderful and informative tour of the Museum of Anthropology. We spent nearly a day and a half with him, and our only regret was that we did not have more time. Bernie's knowledge of the regional history seems endless, and his energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Memories of our stay in Mexico City were highlighted by our time with Bernie and Netouring. It was wonderful to support a family run business that prides itself on going above and beyond to make it special.

We could not have hoped for a more knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic guide than Bernie from Netouring. Our walk with him in the historic center of Mexico City was one of the highlights of our trip.

Bernie’s depth of knowledge about the city where he’s lived his whole life, his warmth and humor, and his patience with my endless questions made this tour a joy. The time just sped by!

Best tour I've ever taken. Kuny is incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive. He was the the highlight of the trip! He provided so much history that it made visiting the museums in CDMX so much easier to understand. I would definitely take another trip with Kuny to visit other parts of Mexico should we have the opportunity to go again.

We've taken many tours in our travels over the years but Kuny and ne touring are the absolute best. We had lively and informative discussions of current events on our way to Teotihuacan. Then we enjoyed a low key but very informative chronology of Mexican history, while taking us to areas avoided by the big tour buses. A very thoughtful and well timed presentation throughout the day. Suggestions: Go early to beat heat and the buses. And, if you can, take this tour before going to the Museo Nacional de Antropolgia. The Tomb of Pakal will be much more interesting. We can't recommend Kuny & ne touring enough.

We did two tours with Netouring ; one to the pyramids at Teotihuacan led by Kuny, and one to Cayocan, led by Isaac. Both were private individual tours and my wife and I were very pleased with both tours. Kuny and Isaac were both very professional, attentive to our needs and interests , and knowledgable about the sites being visited. The price for both tours was also very reasonable . This is a small ,family owned company that provides excellent service . I would definitely recommend them to any visitors to Mexico City.

I started to plan my Mexico City tour a year before I arrived. There isn't a lot of options, in fact, there was no option for a fully escorted guided group tour within Mexico City and its surroundings, which is what I usually do when I travel. I researched day tours on Viator but reading the reviews and knowing that I wanted a quality tour, I knew the day tours were not really the way to go.

I did a lot of research on websites, google searches, and Tripadvisor which is a great source of information if you wanted to read reviews and gauge which companies are reputable and reliable. I think I must have contacted half a dozen to a dozen companies. I chose Netouring because it was personal (Kuny, the son of Bernie, I think Bernie or both own or partially own the company), was extremely responsive, warm, helpful and friendly. You can tell a lot about what you will get from the word go. Kuny helped devise my itinerary and I knew what I wanted to see, and I let him know, and then he helped me build the sights to be seen on each day.

I always have a lot of tweaks and questions as travelling is extremely important to me and I am very selective and certain about what I want to see. Kuny responded to me in lightning fast speed, no question was too hard or annoying, and he just kept studiously and continuously answering my questions without getting annoyed or frustrated.

The price he offered was extremely reasonable for a private tour and I ended up booking a five day private tour. Other companies either did not respond, responded but in a very untimely fashion, responded but in a very haphazard manner not addressing my questions properly or provided poor quality lazy answers, or provided a price that was exorbitant.

Further to that, I was surprised to learn that no deposit was required and I would have happily paid a deposit, but it was not required. This is rare and the whole presales experience provided me with a very high level of confidence and peace of mind. I felt like Kuny was a friend even before I met him!

Fast forward a year on, I was about to leave and Kuny still remembered me and confirmed that everything was in order. He provided all the contact details in an emergency, including his whatsapp contact, and this proved very useful which I am about to discuss.

I was about to board my plane from Santiago, Chile to go to Mexico City one evening after finishing up a two week tour in Chile. As I was about to board, the flight was cancelled by LATAM airlines and I found myself caught up in the riot chaos that ensued in the city due to the metro fare increases. I had just flown in from Easter Island and was transiting out of the country via Santiago. I heard about the riots briefly but had no idea a curfew had been instigated which meant airport staff and crew were unable to operate the planes. A nightmare began to unfold as they translated nothing in English. I had no idea what was going on and why, and what I was supposed to do next. I called Kuny from the airport to let him know I would not be arriving as planned and he also helped me talk to the LATAM staff to provide me with a much needed translation service. Without his assistance, it would have been difficult to understand what was going on and what I was supposed to do next amongst the chaos and angry passengers.

Without knowing when I would be able to fly out, I requested Kuny to help me rework my itinerary and essentially, cram 5 days of sightseeing into 4 days somehow. He did as requested immediately while I was stranded at the airport and I was able to successfully see everything as planned except for two sights in Mexico City. I was very grateful to Kuny and Bernie (my guide and Kuny's father) to extend themselves and Bernie's working hours to fit everything in for me.

My itinerary consisted of Mexico City, Puebla, Cholula, Taxco, Cuernavaca, Guadalupe Shrine and Teotihuacan.

My Chilean riot nightmare did not end. After being delayed for 12.5 hrs and having the flight depart late again on top of the delay, none of the luggage arrived in Mexico City. The entire plane's luggage was left in Mexico City and Santiago airport did not even send Mexico City airport an incoming bag list. So when the plane got to Mexico City, as you can imagine there were hundreds of passengers needing to submit a lost luggage claims form.

Bernie patiently waited for me outside. Kuny continued to provide support to me on the following days to make contact with people to track my luggage but LATAM were clueless and unhelpful. Kuny really went above and beyond to help me when I messaged him for help.

When I exited the luggage claims area I realised I dropped my coat inside while filling in my claims form. I had no other clothes on me and I really needed the coat. Bernie kept calm and helped me speak to the customs and security people and I was able to get my coat back. He allowed me to stop at the airport mart to get some food as well as it was late and I was hungry. He was patient and did not rush me at all.

I asked Kuny if it was at all possible to get 2 large bottles of water for me as I was getting to my hotel late and it was too late to go to a supermarket. He obliged without hesitation and Bernie had them waiting for me in the car upon arrival. He even had several bottles for me over the next few days.

The tour commenced and continued. The car was clean and spacious and Bernie was always punctual and professional. Bernie was an outstanding guide, a warm, patient, accommodating, funny and fun man, and extremely pleasant and friendly. He is not only a knowledgeable and competent guide, but he exudes a passion for his country, and the sights he brings you to like very few guides. You know his passion is genuine and authentic and he is grateful that one invests their time and money to see his country. He has great stories to tell. The energy and enthusiasm he had is exemplary.

I always felt like I was in safe and competent hands even though I had reservations about the safety of Mexico City. Kuny was always honest with me about safety which I appreciated.

They are just good people with good intentions and I cannot say this about many guides and tour companies around the globe. I have travelled to over 45 countries in almost 12 years', seen too many guides and have signed up to private tours, day tours, escorted tours and this was one of the best.

I met Kuny when he came to take my payment and he is a lovely young man. We had a chat and as I was going to New York next, he gave me some recommendations.

This was an exceptionally pleasant and positive experience, and after a nightmare in Santiago and an average touring experience in Chile, along with some awful experiences in Chile with their tourism personnel, this was truly a refreshing, much needed experience. The Mexicans cop too much unfair flak and it is not as bad as the media make it out to be. Nowhere near. The people are generally very nice, even at the airport and customs/immigration/security staff, as well as the hotel staff. I would say the Chileans are the opposite. I would return to Mexico City (this is my 2nd time in Mexico but 1st time in Mexico City) but I would not return to Chile (2nd time too). The Mexicans also speak much better English than the Chileans.

I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you book with Netouring. If I ever go back to Mexico City again, I will be speed dialling Kuny. You should book them without hesitation. I think the fact that they have a continuous track record of top notch reviews is evidence itself and is what attracted me to contact them in the first place.
