It's impossible that you don't visit the Santo Domingo temple while in Oaxaca. There are no words to describe the beauty of its architecture and baroque decoration. A visitor, please be mindful that this is a true catholic temple in a very devote catholic city.

A wonderful church with special atmosphere. The building has the Spanish baroque elegance, the interior is wonderful in details. In Oaxaca it is a must to visit it. The church is connected with the Museum of Culturas, which is situated in well reconstructed ex-convent. During my stay in Oaxaca I have visited the church three times and really enjoyed every... The Santo Domingo Temple has been clean and conserved and its fantastic. The way the structure of the temple is organised its beautiful and so majestuoso. Completely worth it.

Beautiful church, covered in gold, gold, gold. Beautiful interior, with much detail and attention, be sure to check out the carved ceiling tree at the entrance.

This is my favorite church in the city. We love to sit outside and view it at night with all the lights shining on it. It is a beautiful church that offers mass in both English and Spanish.

The details and ornamentation are beautiful and really quite impressive. A tour guide was offering an information session to those interested. We only had to wait a few minutes (one was just about to start) and simply had to sit in the front pews. It was short and very interesting / informative .

This is one of the most amazingly decorative churches I've ever visited. Words can't describe it. Photos can't really capture it. Well worth a visit, but remember that it's a church so be respectful.

Can not describe in words. You must see with your own eyes. There was a guide at the entrance and every five to ten minutes he would describe the church to people who would be interested to learn a little bit more about the church. He would ask for a small donation at the end. We finished hiring him to... More
