Santo Domingo is a must visit for anyone in Oaxaca. It's a masterpiece of baroque architecture. The temple is well preserved and there are guides available on site to provide context.

One of the most beautiful churches in have ever seen a day I have traveled to over 35 countries! The intricate stucco and elaborate gold work is fenomenal. Once you enter you can't take your eyes of the ceiling.

This is beautiful but a monument to opulent taste in decoration that would really appeal to someone with gold bathroom fixtures at home. I was put off too see so much of the community's wealth on display there.

Don't miss a visit to the Templo de Santo Domingo while in Oaxaca. Though we are not usually big fans of church visiting, this one is breathtakingly beautiful with its sculpted ceiling. A must.

I was recently fortunate enough to attend a wedding here. I watched as my friend got to walk down the aisle of this magnificent building. The architecture in here is stunning! This is the most beautiful church I have ever set foot in!

I have seen a lot of churches, cathedrals and temples and I'm still amazed at this one. The ceiling alone is worth visiting.

The Church and Museum in the Ex´-Convent is a must as it is very well done and gives you an chronicle digest of the historal development of this land. Descriptive information needs to be in English as well.

I have to admit, I don't really know anything about the history or architecture of the church. However, we were there for a good friend's wedding, and it was absolutely incredible. The ceilings and the altar are spectacular, and you could tell how much it meant to the catholic people in attendance. Overall, it is a beautiful building, inside and... More
