We had never heard of Tlacochahuaya. Our guide suggested we add it to a day trip to Mitla, Yagul and the Tule tree. It was just about the highlight of the day. The story of the building of the church is rich and interesting. The...More

This place is worth a visit. 20 minutes is enough. A tour guide is recommended. Not much more to see nearby.

Construction of this church was interrupted by the civil war. Located in a quiet neighborhood but easily accessible. The original organ was being rebuilt when we visited.

This should be corrected. It is NOT in Puerto Escondido, but a few miles from Oaxaca City . It is worth a visit, and takes a short time to admire the church.
