Beautiful lush jungle setting! You have your choice of swimming or snorkeling in a seawater lagoon open to the ocean (I swam with a shark) or a freshwater lagoon full of fish and tunnels. It was a great experience.

We have been going to this resort for a while now. We started with Royal Sunset in 2000 and at present we are with La Herencia at Hacienda Tres Rios. When we want to taste a bit of nature and get a respite from urban living, we head to Tres Rios. The resort is beautiful but sometimes the upkeep of... More

We had a great time. The food is amazing and so is the staff. We always get massages Jose and Nancy did not disappoint. We would also like to mention our butlers, Raul, Adrian Oscar and Rodrigo that help make our visit perfect. See you next year!

We visited during the thanks giving weekend and the resort was quite empty. Food was very good the first two days but quality of food and service dropped a little bit during the weekend. We booked only two weeks in advance for a very good price for all inclusive and flight. Distance to Playa Del Carmen is about 15 minutes... More

Altho at first glance the property appears very pretty. And the immediate hospitality seems hopeful, unfortunately we found the property very typical in this genre of resort. The rooms were big but dark. The towels felt like sandpaper. The walls were falling apart and we were in the "new" section. The service was below par for this supposedly high class... More

Our second time back. Had excellent service from the staff at Tres rios. Rapheal, Filiberto, Said, and Christian in particular made our stay memorable. They attended to our needs and were so warm and friendly. Look forward to coming back.

Fifth time of our going to the resort. The staffs were very good and helpful. In particular, I am impressed with the attention given to us by Raphael whose post is somewhere around the Pool and his concern about meeting all our needs throughout our stay. However, the quality of the food need to improve as it did not meet... More

This is definitely a family vacation resort and nature park. Two beautiful pools designed for kids and adults alike. Due to the nature park there are many more activities available on site than other resorts. Staff were very kid oriented and always had an Hola and smile for everyone. They are as interactive as you want to get. Each evening... More

A mini tour of the facilities further raised my awareness of the dire need to save the environment from further human destruction. A place world travelers should visit.
