The Catholic Church, Iglesias de Cristo Rey, has eleven Masses each weekend. Even a number of evening Masses on Saturday and a Sunday. We had a car so were able to drive here from the hotel zone but it would be challenging to get here by bus. Very welcoming congregation.

We were a couple of times in this church which makes you feel right away like home, once you step inside here, very family-like atmosphere, no matter where you are coming from, parishioners treat you just like close family. The church is impressive and well kept. You will like this church as much as we did.

This church is located in Cancun centro, in a popular local plaza called Parque las palapas. There is also a little church store next door, selling rosaries and other religious articles. Masses are packed on Sundays, so get there early if you want to sit and hear Mass. In the plaza, there are food vendors popular with local people, as well as carts selling churros and other snacks. There are many little stalls selling clothes and toys.

People are welcoming...architecture simple but beautiful...tucked away in the center of downtown...I did expect a little more, but was content when I left.
