The temple of the warriors is to the right of Kukulkan, if you look to the North. And where we still have to see if we are there is. This is the second scariest building of Chichen Itza, although significantly inferior to KUKULCAN. Up a staircase, which now, due to the ingress of Chichen Itza to the list of wonders... More

Mayans were known for their precision, but certainty, they have an excellent artistic eye too! Awesome building as a backdrop for "El Castillo" Pyramid!

This part of the Chichen Itza tour... its amazing, the ruins should be gone by now, but still standing and so interesting. Its a little extra walk to see it, but you must do it!!

The temple of warriors is located on the main complex of Chichen Itza. It's on the north east side. The large temple has loads of columns hence also known as Plaza of a thousand columns. There is a reclined warrior on the top(chac mool). Can spend hours admiring the various structures.

Fascinating architecture with various design elements all put together. There are square columns on the left (when facing the temple) and many, many round columns/pillars to the right. Our guide told us the significance is meant to distinguish between two sections of the temple. He also said that its called the "Group of a Thousand Columns". Carvings of marching warriors... More

Cool structure in Chichen Itza, with 1,000 columns initially and only about 300 remaining today. Too bad you can't really explore it.

Temple is quite far if taken from cozumel approximately 2 hours. Temple is quite unique and there's nothing too special. We have to pay cost US $ 5 for each camera that we carry either regular cameras or mobile phones. For whatever reason I think it is quite exaggerated. It was the first time I visited a tourist spot charged... More

The columns in the front are warriors based on the carvings and at the top, there appears to be an alter to receive items or blessings. This is part of the overall Chichen Itza Mayan ruins. Go over by the 1000 columns and see the ruin from a "back" perspective to get a better impression of its massive-ness and structure.

This temple was not only a place for warriors it was also inhabited with the necessary prostitutes serving these warriors need. Anecdote which no guide is referring too.

If you get an opportunity - try to listen to the tour guide. It's interesting to know that the winner of the war actually surrender himself to be killed. Enjoy the view.
