We snorkeled at the surface. Scuba gold were a good forty feet below. Water exceptionally clear. Good amount of sizably tropical fish. Enjoyed this and El Cielo (starfish).

So cool to experience drift diving here - so much to see. Be sure to visit this spot. Roberta's Scuba Shack offered a smaller group diving experience with a great dive master that pointed out LOTS of cool things that we would have missed otherwise!

Great diving. Dive with George, 37 years on the island. Support the locals. Great night diving too...

Highly recommend get there by car and avoid 40-50min boat and then just 10min boat to the diving site

Nice dive with many animals on the reef. Tons of fish and coral. Nice drift dive. I would use Dive with Julio.

Was on a dive boat that took us to this reef. So much to look at. Saw rays, nurse sharks, turtles and zillions of beautiful fish, corals and animals. Not to miss.

Palancar is a lovely place to do simple pass-throughs. The coral towers majestically, cathedral-like. Good odds of running into a turtle. I have never snorkeled here, but the diving is always rewarding.

A great dive site where the reef is in good shape and has lots of fish, including rays and nurse sharks.

This was my first scuba trip to the “Open Ocean”. I just got my Open Water Certification back October 2017. When i would tell people i was “going to Cozumel” in June to Scuba Dive they would say “oh, its the most beautiful water anywhere”....More

I just completed 8 dives along the Palancar Reef and one night dive. The water clarity is great. The slight current creates easy drift dives. The variety of aquatic life is robust... Sea Turtles, French Queen Angelfish, Lobster, Pufferfish, Stingrays, Nurse Sharks, Moray Eels, etc......More

There are areas of Seagrass... unsure what would constitute an “issue”... Also not sure the restaurant has a name :-)

We use Chichicharters for our trips but we like to be alone. Almost all the resorts offer a charter just ask they when you arrive and tell them where you want to go. Or go to chichi Carter's web site

Cabs are everywhere, and pretty reasonable. Some cabs take credit cards, so ask your driver. They take US dollars. Do NOT use the standalone ATMs that are on the street. They are notorious for eating your card and there... More
