Although not as popular as Chichén Itzá, these ancient Mayan ruins are noteworthy in their own right, as this is the site where Mayan women paid tribute to the goddess of love and fertility.

We liked our tour of the Mayan Ruins, it just wasn't very large. We paid the $20.00 for a private tour and our guide was great and gave us a lot of information. It's good to go see at least once, but I will likely...More

We had Dante give us the tour. He had so much amazing information not just on San Gervasio but all of the Mayan history in the region. I learned so much. I would go back in a heart beat!

We visited here as part of a Jeep tour. We only had 25 minutes so we were only able to see 3 smaller ruins. I would have loved to have seen more. Our guide was very knowledge. One thing you definitely need for this excursion...More

Husband and I had private tour guide- highly recommend that. He was very knowledgeable- You can hire tour guide on site once you arrive, I had not planned to do it- but worth it.

Priced reasonably, they do however charge you less if your local or can speak Spanish. There is an option of a guided tour as apparently this is more informative than the information boards that are at each site. However we guided ourselves around and did...More

These ruins offer a small glimpse into the life of the Mayans thousands of years ago. Although you won't see giant pyramids, there are amazing examples of architecture such as columns and arches, as well as remnants of town squares, roads and tools. Our tour...More

It seem to take us 30 minutes by bus to get there. About an hour sounds right.
