Possibly THE most challenging dive site found on this coast of Mexico, with dangerous waters full of strong currents and large, hungry (and toothy) fish.

Maracaibo reef is an awesome dive site. Great visibility (greater than 100feet(30meters). Healthy coral colonies, lots of sponges, gorgonias, lobsters, turtles, sharks(nurse, black tip, reef) and many fishes.

This is one of the furthest south dive site on the island, but with that it is hardly visited. The reef is pristine, healthy and plenty of fish life. We Dive with Dive Paradise and charter our own boat. If you like to dive without...More

Very long boat ride but worth it for a great unobstructed dive spot. Usually not too many divers go down there so you can have some nice quiet time for more experienced divers.

This is not the 120 - 160 foot dive. At 60 feet or so, we saw sharks, a huge 6-8 ft in diameter ray. So much sea life. Soft coral. At the extreme south end of the island, this reef takes some time to get...More

This was one of the 'special dives' offered by Scuba Du for divers they have assessed as sufficiently skilled. Currents can be treacherous and unpredictable, but if you want the chance to try a very deep dive, this is the site to see. But go...More
