Jerry, our guide, told us he was taking us off the beaten tourist path. He also said he would prove you could eat and drink in Mexico and not get sick. He was right! We sampled things (cactus quesadilla and huitlacoche) that I would never have tried otherwise, and they were delicious! Jerry is an excellent guide, he made sure... More

We booked the tour through Viator and from beginning to end it was a delight. Husband and I were the only ones on the tour so we had all the attention from our guide Gerry who met us promptly near our cruise boat's docking. He was very knowledgeable of the cuisine and added fascinating facts about the history of real... More

The tour from start to finish was very well done, professional, and a great variety of food. Please remember to tell them of any dietary restrictions AND preferences. We ate so many different types of food from cactus tacos to deep fried fish (the highlight). Be sure to try things and be adventurous - i.e. eat the deep fried Fins,... More

This was my second time taking this tour. This time I brought my husband along with me. We met at the Mega grocery and were introduced to our guide and our companions, a family of 4. We piled into the taxi and headed to our first stop. Along the way we were given a quick tour of the area. The... More

Cozumel Chef food tour was very professional, very tasty, very informative. Tour takes your party to small places for a hearty sampling of the food the locals eat. No tourist joints here, just a glimpse into the real Cozumel.

My husband found this tour on a Cozumel website. What a find. Our tour guide, Jerry, was colorful, informative and delightful. The places we visited were a variety of delicious off the touristy path where locals go. We highly recommend this tour as a very different and affordable approach to Cozumel. Definitely make plans for Cozumel Chef.

I can't recommend this tour enough. This was my husband's and my fourth visit to Cozumel, but we'd never ventured out of the touristy port area. We were missing out on some amazing food and wonderful people! Gerry, our guide, and Ricardo, our driver, were both kind and courteous. Gerry was full of information about Cozumel, and it was obvious... More

We were traveling with our handicap father and it was great for him. They had a van that stayed with us so not alot of walking for him and they helped everyone on and off the van. The food was absolutely fantastic! We are ready to come back just to do this tour again. Gerry was great! He made the... More

This tour was great. It took us (3 couples) away from the touristy areas and into the places where the locals go. I am a non-dairy pescatarian, and I was able to dine on local foods just as much as my friends without food restrictions. Our guide, Jerry, was friendly and knowledgeable. Given the breadth of questions our group asked... More

We had a great time with our guide Gerry and two other families - he was an extremely knowledgable and personable guide. They took us by van to 4 restaurants where we tried a different dish in each and then ended at a Mexican bakery where we each picked out a pastry to take with us. In the middle, we... More
