I thought this was the best part of going to Cancun. We took a boat ride to the island and it was nice and smooth. Then we visited the little shops they have on the island, tried the local food (which was excellent) and walked in our bare feet on the sand. We stayed most of the day just relaxing... More

We went here this past weekend. We didn't spend too much time on the beach (maybe an hour), but it was beautiful. We went to the farthest point, near the Mia resort. Super clear water. White sand. What more could you ask for? The waves were pretty big coming into the opening, but calmed down before it got to shore.... More

We did a couples massage on Playa Norte and it was very relaxing and affordable. Be sure to take the time to indulge. Ask for Nicole

Go early and stake your chair... can rent two chairs with pads and umbrella for 10 USD. Walk across street to the little markets for beer and drinks, much cheaper than the bars that require a 20 min to hang out in their chairs. But be aware, everything shuts down at 5. Gets crowded in afternoon. There are lots of... More

The best beach on our visit. Calm and easy to swim. Found it easily with the golf cart after getting off the ferry.

... far too many people. Water is ok, but don't let yourself be tempted by what your travel guide says. There are by far better beaches!

great beach, nice location but very busy over the Christmas holidays. Water was great especially when the wind was not coming out of the north or northeast.

Took a ferry from Cancun to here. about 30-45 minutes ride. Traveled with family in March 2014. We took the taxi to the "North Beach" (Playa Norte). The beach was beautiful flat, clear with white sand. OK, most of the women (Europeans?) swim with no bras or tops. Which is fine with me, but if you have little ones...well.....There are... More

Playa Norte is the cleanest most beautiful beach I have been on. Sand, sunshine, crystal clear turquoise waters. Great for swimming, sunning or people watching. No glass or animals. cocktails in plastic only, it is a beach!
