A typical Spanish colonial church. Outside is very conventional and cold. Inside the ceiling is quite unusual due the squares carved on it. A major piece of architecture in Merida

We visited this a part of a free walking tour. The cathedral over looks the central square and is beautiful at night. Not the most beautiful of cathedrals however worth a little visit.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals in México. Try to visit early in the morning due to crowds at evenings.
