We joined this tour last minute for 525 pesos each and I was surprised that there were only 5 people with me and my husband. Our guide was really nice. He was knowledgeable but at the same time he mostly spoke Spanish until my husband reminded him that me and the German couple couldn't understand what he was saying. I... More

This is a great tour, as you get to visit the Maya temples twice: first in the afternoon, with good light for photos, an extensive walk and a lot of information. Then, after a nice break for dinner and a refreshing swim in the hotels' pool, you return after dark for the Light and Sound show. This consists of some... More

Mayan Ecotours is the best way to book all of your travel and adventures in the Yucatan. The owner explores new locations and stays closely connected to the local cultural events so that she has the best of the best to offer her customers. No matter what you want to do this is the tour company to reach out to.... More

We joined "Chichen Itza tour with drop off at Cancun". I was supposed to drop off at Cancun. But, when the guide picked up us, he told me that his record was to drop us at Playa de Carmen. I asked them to double check and finally they agreed to drop us to Cancun. So far the arrangement over Chichen... More

I have taken lots of tours around the world and this is by far "THE WORST" tour for me and I wish there was negative star rating as it doesn’t deserve 1 star. We booked the tour with Mayan Eco tour for pickup in Merida, visiting Chichen Itza and drop off in Playa del carmen for 850 pesos/person. Though after... More

Very massive and commercial tour. Guide useless, the beach is low average and the lunch is mediocre. Summary the tour is definitely overrated considered the price

We had a last minute trip booked for a group of 8 of us to Uxmal and to snorkel in a Cenote. The guide was excellent and knew all his stuff. The tour went well and included lunch which was a nice surprise. Bargain! Happy days.

We went for a group tour with Mayan ecotours. The company were very helpful and friendly and well organised. Our guide, Irwing, was an amazing storyteller, he made the incredible site at Uxmal come alive with Maya legends, and kept stopping to point out interesting things such as local plants and landmarks, even when we were just driving through places.... I did not actually manage to do any tours with Mayan Ecotours due to illness and need to cancel my trip however I found them so helpful, I am sorry I did not visit Merida. Their communication is helpful, precise and timely, their prices very reasonable and they have a good choice of tours, even helping me find a place... More

I booked a Izamal sound & light tour on June 2015. Tour happened to be "bilingual" (suprise!), meaning that I was the only english speaking person on the group. This is not a problem for me, but it meant a lot of waiting in Izamal while guide was talking to spanish speaking people... Also I think this bilingual option should... More
