Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The building is nothing special. It hosts dancing display by the locals. It's very popular and people arrive very early to grab the best seats. If that is your thing ask at the information desk located inside the building about times etc. Otherwise walk past and do something else.

In the main square of Mérida, this two-story colonial-style eighteenth-century building stands out with its arches and red-painted façade. We were there on a weekend evening and the space in front was crowded with people dancing to the rhythm of the music being played under the arches. A cheerful town hall.

The Palacio is another of the beautiful Spanish build structures that flank the central plaza. Beautiful by day and night.

Colonial building archways, archways. Enjoyed it's clanging time bell. Sunday is the best when the front of the city hall is filled with fully dressed Mexican dancers, with a full band playing all day long. Not to be missed. Sat, Sunday the square is filled with events. The children's parade with 100's of a little princess, breaks the heart of

This place is highly recommended. Not only does the building has the authentic look, but outside they have the dancing in the streets, Old traditional dancers and singers make this place a great atmosphere.

The Palacio Municipal (Town hall) is a historical building currently being used by the local government. Here you can see some large beautiful Murals.

Nice and kind of interesting but certainly not the highlight of the square. Stop by but don't spend too much time.

We wandered into this unbelievable palace located directly on Merida's main square. The structure itself is so impressive with a massive courtyard that allows sunlight flood the over sized art that decorated every corner of this historic building. It was our favorite site in all of Merida and there are many ...

Saludos,
Normannd
