    A must do in Mexico!
Coco Bongos is a must do when visiting Mexico!! We were recommended this a lot prior to coming to Mexico and was on our list of the only trip we wanted to do & my god was it worth it!! We booked through the official sellers at the pool & they explained everything thoroughly prior to the visit. Booking through the official sellers also included transport which was great as other sellers were tickets only. I don’t know how else to explain it apart from one of the best nights of your life!! There was so much happening all the time. The tickets are expensive but definitely worth it!

    Family visit for 50th birthday
Wow what a fantastic night we had at Cox Bongo. We are a family of six (parents and two children with partners from 18 to 22). The evening is complete madness in a controlled way, entertainment and partying all night long. We loved every minute. Good security and control inside, staff always in complete control. We had Gold Member tickets which provided us the combination of a great view plus the ability to go down to the dance floor.

    Must do
We booked standard tickets via tui. We ended up paying for queue jump because it was so humid and deffo worth it. The a/c in the club is devine (I worried about it feeling too hot). My partner never got served at the bar, only myself which was fairly quick. Unlimited drinks, we didnt manage to get our free snack. They have a small smoking area balcony. The show is out of this world, so much variety, so quirky. Its a MUST. Upon reflection I would pay more to have a seat/table. Standing was relevatively crammed and moving for security and cleaners were a little annoying but understanble.

    Amazing show.
I'd heard about this from friends and when my wife booked the holiday she asked Tui about tickets and we paid about £110 each for Gold tickets. I was apprehensive and this was totally unfounded. We went in and was greeted by a drink in a plastic cup and again a second drink, a shot of tequila. We were shown to the first floor and the waiter, Ignacious (Iggy) introduced himself. He took our order and for the rest of the night was so attentive. Food was served a couple of times in the night which consisted of sliders, hot dogs or nachos. Its not a full on meal but a small snack. This was served twice throughout the night. The show itself, I thought was amazing. Dancers on the floor, air acrobats and cabaret dancers doing things such as Queen, Mad Max (rock tunes) Madonna, Michael Jackson and The Mask to name a few. In hindsight I would have got Front Row Gold as this would have enabled us to see the floor better but trust me, that's only a tiny part of the show. Yes it's pricey but so what? Go once, enjoy it and if you really like it go again another year. I was drinking bottle of Sol with Jack Daniels chaser and I believe I got my moneys worth. It was my stepdaughter birthday and they got her and other birthday person up and gave them a special shot. It's an 18th she'll never forget. It's 5 hours of entertainment so go and have fun.

must do in Playa del Carmen
Loved our visit to Coco Bongo. Bought our tickets outside with an officer seller, got wristband and queued for around 15 mins to get in. We arrived at 11am and it was so busy, stood near the bar. It continued to get busier as the night went on. The performances were outstanding & the waiters very very attentive!

My guy Ariel was the best server I’ve ever had. I’ve been asked for tips my entire trip, this is the first time I have my money willingly. He was the best, he made the coco bongo a great experience. Honestly I don’t think I gave him enough, Ariel is my guy and I’d come back just for him. He made my night.

    Amazing experience!
Absolutely amazing show! It’s definitely worth the late hours and that’s from a couple who aren’t awake past midnight and aren’t big drinkers. A big shoutout to Miguel who made our experience by getting us into a prime spot on the right side as you look to the top stage to see the show and was getting us drinks all night - even waters when we asked! The performers are so skilled and should be very proud of the show.

Amazing night for Adults of all ages! One not to be missed!
Having been to Coco Bongo in Punta Cana, we decided that another visit to another Coco Bongo was a must! Wow were we not disappointed! In fact Playa del carmen was even better! The coco bongo rep at our hotel Javier based at our hotel was brilliant! Explained the options and prices available without being too pushy/overbearing. Due to our love of dancing we chose the regular ticket which included pick up and return from our hotel. Javier explained everything including times and what was needed on the night etc perfectly . The night of the show we were picked up on time, met by Arthur who again did a great job of looking after us, explaining everything, pick up times and location before taking us to the venue. At the end of the night the coach was easy to find at the pick up point and took us back to the hotel. In arriving at Coco Bongo we joined the regular ticket queue. There was a bit of a wait to go in and I don’t think the extra $ to skip the line that some paid is worth the money as nothing starts until everyone is in and you move around throughout the evening. Once in the fun began! 😁 With the regular ticket, we stood on the floor level and had a great night. The show was amazing, being kicked off with dancers and followed by various acts. Each act was different, some humorous, some breath taking, but all high energy and entertaining. Best place to stand for view of the stage above, is top end of the ground level stage, opposite the bar but even if not here you get to see a lot that is going on and a lot of acts come down to the ground stage. In between acts, a fab range of music was played and there was a lot dancing to be done. My friend and I were encouraged by staff to join others on the ground floor stage, which was good fun. The staff were friendly and we had drinks brought to us. The drinks were good and could taste the alcohol so not watered down at all. A great night for all ages to enjoy and one not to be missed. Even if you have been to a Coco Bongo before, it is definitely a night to experience as it is such good fun and value for money. Top tip, if you buy a regular ticket, wear flat shoes or heels you know you can stand in comfortably all night as you will be stood for the entire time.

A club like out of a movie. It was crazy
A couple of us went here while on holiday in PDC and had a great night. It's like nothing I've ever been to before. All of the performances were really impressive. It's very female focused. Every time the performances finished they were quick to fill the stage with any women who fancied a dance up there. If you're confident enough to let loose, you'll find yourself on the big screen regularly too. It is an open bar in there and we didn't ever actually go to it as there are staff constantly walking around sorting you out. They'll often bring you another before you're even finished the one in your hand. The only thing is it is clearly heavily watered down or low percentage alcohol. I easily had 15-20 margaritas, but I was stone cold sober walking out. One or two of the drinks literally just tasted like flavoured water. It's probably worth paying the $30 or so more per person and getting a table, as apparently you had bottles on the table to serve yourself and you would also get a better view of the performances. We struggled to see some of the ones on the upper stage from where we were. A great experience regardless

I would give 0 stars if I could.

I went to Coco bongo in 2016 and couldn’t fault it. This time round it was the worst experience of my life. Brought the regular ticket from the hotel. When we did this last time a rep would take you senior frogs before then take you there take you to where you stand and get the drinks from the bar for their group.

This time round VERY different. Moody reps come to collect you from the hotel. You are dropped off at a bus station told to walk to coco bongo not knowing where it is. Reps just leave you even though it is their responsibility to look after you. Que was 20+ minutes down the street. Someone from coco bongo comes down the line to ask if you want to pay extra to go the front. Stupidly me and my boyfriend did this because we thought we would miss the show because of the que being so long and not moving at all. Eventually got in and 10 minutes later the people behind us in the que said we shouldn’t of paid because after we did they just let everyone in anyway. Clearly just a way of making more money.

When we got in it’s shoulder to shoulder, there is too many tables and waiters are so rude and just push past you like your worthless because you haven’t brought the silver or gold band.

Bar staff were extremely rude. They wouldn’t serve my partner a drink even though it was free bar. They told him to tip first before they poured any drinks. The reason for tipping is if the service is good not awful? They would pour the wrong drinks every time on purpose and I had to go the bar every time to be able to get drinks for us.

The show wasn’t half as good as last time. Hardly any acts all night was just Spanish songs all night.

To be able to go the toilet I had to jump on stage and walk across it because trying to get through the crowd and waiters was way too difficult.

I feel like this show has gone down hill massively. They are too bothered about making money and not bothered about their customers. The worse thing they did was make this more table service and get 50 million tables put everywhere.

This review does not deserve any stars however, you have to select one to give a review.

We paid $300 for 2 gold VIP tickets and having been to Coco Bongo’s before we were really looking forward to going again we even recomended it to people we had met at our hotel who also booked to go with us.

We arrived and were shown to seats at the side of the stage (pictures of what we could see and our location attached). I was sat in the corner and felt like I was under the stage (poles and equipment kept being passed by me under the stage) there was also an air con unit under there somewhere and I was freezing cold and did at one point go outside to get warm for 15 minutes. We complained about our seats and asked could we be moved and they wanted more money from us which is outrageous because we had already paid what I would say a considerable amount of money to begin with. You can see a West End show in London much cheaper and I have fantastic seats to see Elton John next year that cost less than these tickets too.

There is also a picture attached of what’s included in the price of your ticket and what food I received. I had a total of 6 drinks and truthfully would have paid for a hot chocolate because I was so cold.

I would recommend using the $300 to upgrade your seat on the plane instead as that would be better value for money.

Fell for the hype. Worst night out we’ve ever had. Entertainment revolves around cameras projecting images of women’s cleavages to a big screen, until the performers come on to do some miming. Drank solidly for an hour and a half and it may as well have been water. Paid for some shots in desperation to try and numb the pain, got my chest felt-up and a whistle blown in my face by the woman serving them for the privilege. Humiliated, sober and full of self-loathing for being suckered in, we left and drowned our sorrows with some quality cocktails at a beach bar with our feet in the sand for half the money we’d just wasted. Why anybody would leave here thinking they’d had a good night out is completely beyond me. If, like us, you’re tempted to go because you’ve heard it’s a ‘must do’, please believe me - it’s not!

Front row tickets. This place sucks. Spent $600 for front row tickets for my birthday, worst birthday in my 44 years. I was lucky enough to to get seated behind a pole and a group even though I paid for front row. I was able to see approximately 1/4 th of the floor stage, and big pole, people in front if me , and staff right in front of main stage. In addition, the servers and picture crew stopped in front of me and constantly, and piled their trash and empties there. Halfway through the night, the group next to us tried totake over our table, and our server tried to move the rest of our group to a blocked view without a table. Being at the tables on second floor also felt like watching party instead of joining. In addition, the music is so loud that you cannot hear your nieghbor... but that is expected in a club. They were all about gaining extra revenue, constantly asked to pay for shots and pictures, guys in front even took some off of servers breast, while blocking my view. Completely took advantage of all the drunks, whom they were constantly serving drinks, making them obnoxious. One guy was borderline abusive to the waitress, grabbing and kissing, even though she tried to get away. I brought it up with several staff as the bumped me to pass, no one cared. So bad that i thought i might have to step in. All they want to do is get people stupid drunk to feel like they had a good time, at the expense of their employees. They put lots of people on the screens, the more drunk and obnoxiousthe better, not sure how shows were as I couldn't see. Bathroom on second floor was so small I was literally touching another person as I used the ural, no toilet. Advice: avoid. If you have to go, don't waste money on front row or even a table, be part of the party and stand for the 4.5 hours. Most entertainment is on the floor box and stairs, not main stage. Could have been fun if not focused on addition revenue and taking advantage of people whom they over served, and more respectful of people's experience. One of the worst nights of my life, and on my birthday. All I got from
the night was hit constantly from staff, asked to spend money on shots and pi tures, beat up by the speaker over my head, witnessed abuse, and a nice view of the back of people's heads.

What a horrible experience and unprofessional staff. We bought two VIP tickets at $150.00 each. This included premium drinks, the Vodka they had was Finlandia which is a cheap vodka. I was supposed to be drinking black label and they were serving me RED LABEL. This place was way over capacity, there was so much bumping and pushing going on. The chairs are uncomfortable stools and we were lucky we were able to find them and to make matter worse the view was pathetic. We ended up leaving 45 minutes into the show and had to pay a $50 taxi fare to go back to our resort. This was our third time going to Coco Bongo and it is not was it used to be. They must be money hungry due to the amount of time they were closed. If you are not in your 20's do not go to this madhouse and save your money.

Simply disappointing…

Was sold the tickets by the official reps at our hotel by the pool. Was told seats, food and drinks all included in the “special” ladies night price. I asked will we get a small table to be told yes.

We arrive to find that the drop off point isn’t even at the venue, but instead a couple blocks over. Arrive at the venue and find there’s a 45min line just to get inside. They instantly try to upsell for $10 pp for “express line”. With the show starting at 10pm, we didn’t get picked up until 9:15pm and then with the line to get in the time suddenly becomes 11pm and you’ve missed an hour.

Once in the venue, was told our tickets don’t include seats but can have a table for an extra $150. Absolute scam. We were then shoved into the far end which happened to be UNDER the stage! So again, you miss most of the shows as you can’t even see! You’re shoulder to shoulder with 1000s of others and can’t even move to a better viewing spot.

Food never arrived for where we were. We asked multiple times only to be shrugged off as if no care and isn’t their problem. We asked again around 1am as nothing had arrived to be told the kitchen shuts at 11pm! We didn’t even get in until then! From what we saw when others had food was 5 chips and mini burger! They only gave service and food to all those who paid a premium and those with “regular” tickets are shoved around to make room for the acts. Being told to get on the floor at times to prevent a flying act hitting you.

This place is a living safety hazard. No way can you cram as many people in shoulder to shoulder for the price you’re paying.

Truly disappointing and won’t recommend to anyone. Poor service, told I’d get a seat and didn’t when I arrived, no food, one big mess. Total scam to be sold tickets and not get what we were told we would get.

Never again!

When Las Vegas meets a Mexican entertainment Juggernaut, the resulting off spring is this gargantuan cavalcade of fun, music, dancing, and moves Cirque de Soliel would be envious of. With my upgraded Gold membership, (go big or stay home) gave me a ringside seat and exemplary service, meaning open Premium Bar for the 4 hour duration, food was thrown in at some point. I vague images the return to my habitation, let it be known I was up with the roosters 🐔 if they’re up a 11. Ready for some hair of th dig. I did manage to indulge in some minor conversation with 3 of the prettiest lady’s in Mexico. The End , Period ; Moral of the story when in PLAYA, or Cancun get ur booty to COCO BONGAS. It’s better than most Vegas shows sshhhhhhh our secret 🤫

We went to Coco Bongo with our adult children. The 4 of us bought ‘Gold’ tickets which meant we could sit down. Booze and ‘snacks’ were included in the price of 850 CDN for the 4 of us. We were placed on a third floor balcony with a stool very tightly packed together. If you are at all worried about fire or claustrophobic, this is not the place for you! The show started at 10:30. Fairly decent dance routines and some acrobatics intermingled with young ladies from the audience taking turns in the dance stations trying their best to twerk while looking sexy on the big screen. At one station the girls had air blown up their skirts - I imagine they knew what they were getting into but It got tired quickly. Only women were invited to dance for the cameras, with the exception of one ‘pride time’ male dancer. The music was fun but holy hell loud! Wear ear plugs! The crowd was fun and it was easy to get into the music. A little move show and a lot less ‘audience’ participation would have made it worth the money.

Sold gold tickets with the promise of best seats that were anything but. We arrived early but were put at the back then offered a better seat for an extra 50 US dollar each that we declined. Attitude from staff when we declined to but an overpriced photograph. Dreadful other than Edger the bar man who worked his socks off all evening. Rest of the staff are just hungry for your money and are unhelpful. Avoid!!

With the regular ticket, we stood on the floor level and had a great night.
