This was an incredible experience, I would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have the tour all to ourself which made it that much more special. Our tour guide Beto, was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cenotes, area, wildlife, flora, and history behind the location. His insight to the history of the cenotes and spiritual aspect of them emphasized the beauty and significance of the experience. It was truly a once in a lifetime tour and experience and it wouldn’t have been the same without Beto’s guidance. Cannot wait to do it again whenever we return to the area.

We have visited many cenotes over the years. Big ones like Il Kil. Small ones around Playa del Carmen like Dos Ojos. This was by far the best. Our guide, Julian, made it a truly unique experience. We arrived early on a Monday morning and it was just the 3 of us in the tour. We had an opportunity to explore and even experience the caverns in the dark. What an amazing trip! The cab from PDC was about $20. Our driver came back for us, but they would have called us a cab if needed. It was well worth the time and entry fee ($50 each).

We came to the cenote, looking for an experience that would not require traveling to far from Playa Del Carmen. The hotel recommended this place as a cenote that is not too far, but exclusive enough that it is not spoiled yet with throngs of loud tourists. We were extremely pleasantly surprised. The entrance fee is expensive for local standards, but worth it all the way. The lady at the reception was pleasant and articulate. The instructions clear, and in fluent English. The guides were excellent, and thankfully we were assigned Lorena, who was a delight. She’s funny, knowledgeable, and patient with a group of 14 guests, some of them were in their 80s. Not to mention the location, the underground river, the ability to swim in crystal, clear waters, and the beauty of it all. I hope this place can stay the way it is for many centuries to come. If you are chiroptophobic, this is not for you!

What a transformative experience! To experience thousands of years of natures doing it’s miraculous thing. To be honored to be a part of a Mayan steam tradition, to pause and give thanks to all that our Earth provides for us. Angelo was our guide and he was incredible!! You can tell he loves the land and is passionate to educate guests about nature and traditions. I am changed!

This was an amazing experience! The caves were fabulous and the shaman and sweat lodge were actually life changing! Angelo was our guide throughout the day and could not have been any better, friendlier and more informative! I highly recommend this trip! We are 3 women over 60 years old and we had no issues navigating any part of it.

Amazing experience for young teens to able bodied adults. It’s well worth the 2 hours to swim and explore these cenotes. Our guide Angelo was very fun and helpful. He also gave a great explanation of the cenotes geology, history, and biology :)

Our guide, Angelo, was knowledgeable, helpful, and the friendliest! The cenote was beautiful and the swim was refreshing, especially after the steam. It was such a blessing to see and experience the beauty of it all. The tequila was the best I've ever tried and the food was delicious. I'll share the stories from our experience always. I would highly recommend everyone give this adventure a try, its very much worth it.

Worthwhile and very convenient to Playa del Carmen. The caves are beautiful and it is amazing to swim in two of them (the third is now closed). We got there at 10:30a for our 11a tour and joined another couple for a tour with just the 4 of us right away. They did not provide wetsuits or snorkels like the website says, but we did get a flashlight each. The guide, Diana, spoke perfect English and was excellent. The tour took 1-1/2 hours. The photos they take cost $50 and were good, but we chose not to buy them. They offered free tequila at the end, offered by someone selling it.

Cenote Chaak Tun is a beautiful experience. We had the pleasure of having Angelo as our tour guide and he made us laugh and really take in all the knowledge he has about cenotes and wonders of this regions subterranean rivers. This experience also included professional pictures of your group which are great and available for purchase at end of tour. You also get to do some organic tequila tasting which was great!
