I stayed on this beach for 5 nights here’s the tue facts
• The beach
if you want to be charged for breathing come here, this potentially beautiful beach has been ruined mainly by the boat tours that have claimed the beach area ( hundreds of them) these guys seem to think that they own the sea. I had a boat drive at me whilst snorkelling the shallows telling me to pay for a snorkeling tour or get out. They have sectioned out a small area 20 meters and say to stay in this (it’s the worst part of the beach.) along with the sheer amount of plastic and boat rope that they dump has lead to this beach on the verge of falling apart.
I hope someone sees this review and does something about these problems as it has the potential to be one of the best beaches that I have been to.
1. Limet the boats and companies harassing you to go on a trip with them it spoils the whole beach.
2. Allow people to snorkel where they please
3. Focus on cleaning the plastic other than the seaweed.
4. And finally stop pretending to care for the turtles, they will stick up barriers on about 1/10 nests probably just for show we watched a turtle laying eggs from distance one night - in the morning boat crap was laying all over the nest from these tours setting up, I told them hem they are on a nest and they literally could not care less

Firstly, we went and ventured through the Tulum ruins which was lovely. Then after completing that we were told that we would get a boat ride to swim with turtles and fish. Included was also a soft drink and some history on the Tulum ruins. The boat ride went for only 40mins. The history lesson literally was for a minute! All for the cost of $120AUD for 1 adult and 2 children).
Then my children (both 10) were fitted with flippers and snorkels. Unfortunately, both my children lost a flipper each. I told the guides on the boat straight away apologising as I was embarrassed but obviously it was an accident. They became very aggressive and said I need to pay them $10usd per flipper which I did. What I was most upset about was that they started talking amongst themselves saying gringo elstupido! I know what that means and that was extremely rude and unprofessional! Awful experience!

Snorkel tour boat tour with Paco Tours.

We wanted to see the ruins in Tulum. The guide at the entrance told us that there is a nice beach club right next to the ruins where you can park right in front of it and that you can see the whole thing even better from the water side by boat.

We paid 120 EUR for two people because we believed the guide.

The beach there is very nice and the beach club doesn't charge an entrance fee or parking fees if you eat something there. The staff in the beach club were very friendly and the food was OK.

The boat tour was very short (about 20 people) and the staff from Paco Tours were very unfriendly. You didn't see much of the ruins from the water. You could have seen them better from the beach.

The snorkeling didn't last 5 minutes. I can't recommend this boat trip.

If you want to visit the beach there, you can drive there directly by car and pay 58MXN per person for entry.

Beach club, parking and beach are free. From there you can walk to the ruins and pay another 80MXN per person for entry.

All in all, we would have gotten the same thing for €15 instead of €120 if we had gone there directly.

My recommendation is to do your own research and not blindly trust any guide in Mexico.

somehow we fell into the tourist trap of buying a snorkel trip when we bought our Tulum ruins tickets - we should have known better! The ruins are very interesting, and the beach is OK ... but I don't know that I'd make the (long, hot) trek out to this beach from the ruins just to get to the beach ... and I definitely would NOT recommend snorkeling from here. We had a quick trip on the (smelly, somewhat rickety) boat run by two checked out guides to look at the ruins from the water - which was a nice view - and then jumped in the water and swam with couple of harassed looking sea turtles. Nothing else of note. If you're staying out here (there are a couple hotels), the beach itself I'm sure is nice, but avoid the snorkeling! Ours was run by Toto Tours, but I think they're all the same.

I love this beach club, it’s my favorite in Tulum. You are off the main beach so the people selling stuff cannot get to you, They have amazing food, the shrimp gobernador tacos! Yum! The service is the best! Joel was our server, he was patient and attentive. My friend and I had a really great times thanks to him and the rest of the staff, and they taught us a little Spanish. It was a great time!

Very bad experience. The damaged boats. I had an accident and they didn't even take care of it. The manager of a hotel took me to the Cruz Roza in Tulum and they gave me 5 points. Total negligence.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING THE TOUR!

Until we discovered Playa Pescadores, this was the beach we visited. The beach per se is full with sargassum - no bad smell at least. Please note that this is very common in the area and you can´t blame the restaurant. IThje sand t is very rocky but still you can swim once you pass the entrance to the sea. The restaurant was good, tasty food, great service. We ordered from salad, to a whole fish, and it was good. The lemon pie was terrible. It is a very small public beach, nice for spending a few hours. We went for lunch, twice.

The boat service and attention is terrible.
Just a week ago I had an accident on the boats that are hired on the beach.
I suggest that you check the boats that provide the coastal tour service and the attention of those in charge. They ignored the issue both in terms of first aid care and financially, even though it was during the provision of their services, with very discourteous, dehumanized treatment and not at all up to the situation. The only thing they cared about was not having blood on their barges, with very unpleasant manners.
DON'T HIRE HIM! The ride is a LIE and if something happens no one takes responsibility!!!

A very Nice Beach. Went on a boat ride with the Pescadores tours, snorkling at the reef. Amazing experience. Back at the Beach we Got lunch at the Pescadores villa Beach, it was delicious, made from fresh ingredients and served at your sunbed at the Beach. Very Nice and service minded Crew. Thanks to Ivan.

Beautiful beach. They work hard to remove the seaweed. Right now we did not see much and they said it is supposed to move further. Do a boat trip! Snorkeling at the reef is amazing and you get to swim with turtles. Prices vary, we paid 300 per Person
