My husband and I went Jan 2017 and I loved it so much that my sister and I went in May. They now have wet suits available to make the experience more comfortable as the water is cold- even for we Canadians. The caverns of...More

We only visited one cenote while in Mexico and chose this one based upon Tripadvisor reviews....and we were not disappointed. It is a little out of the way down a dirt road leading into the jungle.....but that was part of the charm. We had a...More

Off the beaten path cenote on a dirt road past Dos Ojos. Offers a guided snorkel tour of the famous and beautiful Pet Cemetery and Sac Actun cenotes. Less crowded and more beautiful than other cenotes we visited, with an eerie ambiance and stunning rock...More

This place is truly magical. Definitely do the guided tour because you can go in places that are off-limits to the general public. Don't miss it!

No, really. That’s what one of the routes is called. I read about cenotes but wasn’t sure what to expect. Sac Actun is an enclosed cenote. We donned our snorkeling gear, Life vests are mandatory as it can get very tight and dark in there...More

We lucked out and got to see Sac Actun on a very slow day. We had a terrific guide and thought this tour was a great value. Do go for the wetsuit, as it gets cold in the caves.

You will need the guide in Sac Actun, because the cenote is an underground cave system and you can’t go there by yourself. 😀
