Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The western gate of Chanderi Fort is known by the name of Khooni Darwaza. Here in 1528, the war between Babar and Maharaja Medni Rai was so bloody and cruel that the flow of blood came flowing upto this gate. Since then it is called by this name Khooni Darwaza. - rerference(Jhansiartgallery)
It is around 100 mtrs aways from the Mahal and the fort is aprrox 500mts away from this Stony entrance.

A part of the chanderi fort this gate was once known for its grandeur but after it was attacked and destroyed by Babur which ofcourse was followed by massacres leading to defeat of Chanderi kingdom. That’s why the door which once was called ‘hathi darwaza’ (Elephant gate) is since then known as ‘khoni darwaza’

A gate from which blood flows in the past. History of this gate is much saddened that it got its name from the incident. “Khuni” literally translates to bloody. This is one of the main entrance gate to Chanderi fort.

This place which is Ruins right now literally derives its name from a bloody Incident.
War between king of chanderi and Mugals was so Violent that blood actually flowed down from this gate.

This is Chanderi fort complex only and you can walk down to this place from Fort Campus only.

Visit this place either on Sunrise or Sunset ti get the best Views of Old Chanderi town.
