The refurbishments are high end and absolutely five star. We arrived with our dog (you can book the dog friendly eating area specifically online) who was given some water and a treat Our meals were absolutely delicious and priced well to the standard of food received. Plenty of choice of beer. The seating was comfortable and we had plenty of space The team were just outstanding and so friendly! Well done guys, we hope to see you soon!
Thank you for your lovely review- we have been overwhelmed at the huge amount of positive comments we have received from all our visitors and look forward to welcoming you back soon! Best wishes, TEAM COACH

Wow is all I can say
Been in a couple of times now and can I say I absolutely love it! The staff are amazing and the food was incredible. The atmosphere is unbelievable. I had the burger and it was the best burger I have had in such a long time. My partner had the risotto and that tasted amazing too. You do not feel like you’re in dersingham. Would highly recommend to anyone. The drinks were great and the bar staff make the best cocktails.
Thank you for your glowing review- we are so glad you love our gorgeous new pub as much as we do!

    Birthday meal and drinks
Birthday celebration meal. Booked on line. First visit to the newly refurbished Coach and Horsed in Dersingham. Wow what an incredible job they have done. Staff were engaging, welcoming and attentive. Good selection of Ale, huge wine list and an incredible selection of Gins. The menu was difficult as there is usually one dish I can pick as an absolute favourite however every dish ticked that box, finally settled on the Venison Bourgogne and mash, melt in the mouth perfection! Family selected Halibut, steak and the burger and all plates devoured with lots of positive comments. Will be back and will highly recommend
Thank you so much for yuor lovely review- we are so pleased you enjoyed our new pub! We are so proud of it.

    Excellent
I stayed here for 1 night after visiting Sandringham and what a find. I booked online and so was not quite sure what to expect. I could not fault my stay. The room (Nelson) was large as was the en-suite. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable bed. I ate in the restaurant and had the halibut, but unlike the previous comment, I found it delicious and considered it good value for money when eating out. Breakfast was equally as good. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay

    Lovely experience
Such a lovely new pub / restaurant. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and grabbed a drink until our room was ready. There is a great selection of lagers, ales, and spirits, including some Coach house tipples (I bought a bottle of the Coach gin back to Essex with me). Our room (Taylor) was great. Large, spacious, modern, clean and attention to detail was spot on. Included a lovely en suite and sofa bed as I was with the family. We had bar snacks on the Saturday, dinner Saturday evening, breakfast in the morning (inc in the room price) and then a Sunday roast. Could not fault anything. I had the pie of the day on Saturday (chicken) and it was great. Staff were all amazing, and also interacted with my twins which was lovely. I'd 100% recommend this place, and I'll be back!

    So glad we went!
We wondered how our visit would be when we first walked in, as the bar was really busy and quite noisy at just before 7pm. However, a lady showed us to our pre-booked table right in the corner of the restaurant, and we had a really enjoyable meal and drink. We both had the pan fried cod with spinach and lentil from the specials board, and it was absolutely delicious-a really thick piece of cod loin cooked to perfection.

    The best pie out there
What a great local pub. Had the pie of the day this evening. Chicken ham and mushroom with mash and peas. The filling was very good and stuffed to the top of the tasty short crust pastry. Good mash and gravy to go with it, nothing there not to like. All washed down with a pint or two of Abbot ale which was on top form.

    The " IN" Place !
First time to the new Coach & Horses. What a place ! It was 6.30pm on a Friday evening and the place was buzzing with people, very noisy but I suppose that's the sound of success ! The decor looked good with quality contemporary furnishings. We were out for a bar meal so Haddock and chips and a burger was our order for that evening. It was all excellent and piping hot, a little bit of a wait but the place was so busy and the food good so the wait was acceptable. I will not hesitate to go back for some finer dining. The Coach & Horses is a real asset to the area.

    You won't be disappointed
My wife and I visited the restaurant for a meal and were massively impressed. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the ambience was great and the food outstanding. The cream mushroom Bruschetta, Halibut and Venison Bourgignon were all excellent and great value for money. Very happy to recommend this place for a meal

Great food too noisy will try again
We went for the festive meal. Food was excellent . So was the service. With a festive menu you would normally get something festive! Eg. Crackers Christmas serviettes etc. There was nothing christmas about this. The other comment is the noise level. I couldn't hear what was being said on the otherside of the table. I could just about hear my friend sitting next to me. As a local who used to visit fairly regularly before the refurbishment, we will try again as we couldn't fault the food. May have to wait until a less busy time of year.

After a morning walking in the blustery conditions on Snettisham beach we sought a village pub for a hearty lunch time meal and opted for The Coach & Horses.
A friendly locals pub which immediately made us feel welcome with a fuss made of the dog.

I chose the soup and sandwich combo on granary which was mature cheddar and red onion and Stilton and broccoli soup. Tasty and substantial and not sure I needed the garlic ciabatta side that I ordered. The wife had a home made Salmon and tuna fish cake with skinny fries and dressed salad with sweet chilli dip. The fish cake was amazing, with a crispy coating and soft fluffy mash centre.

The meal left us feeling full and content with certainly no room for pudding.

At £23 with around of soft drinks the meal was great value for money and cooked and presented really well.

Well done The Coach & Horses.

My husband and I were staying in Dersingham for a long weekend. We had eaten here on previous visits over the years and had always enjoyed good food and drinks. Before we booked we were aware that new owners had recently taken on the Coach and Horses. Would it be the same, as good as previous visits? We pre-booked an evening meal and we were not disappointed. The food was superb - good portion size, flavoursome with lovely fresh vegetables, excellent quality and value for money.
We had the steak and kidney pudding and chicken and leek pie. We were so impressed we booked again for the following evening. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our food, this time opting for the lamb shank and steak and ale pie.

All of the staff were helpful and friendly.

If you find yourself in the area I highly recommend a visit to the Coach and Horses.
We can't wait to visit again when back in Dersingham. Oh, and the craft ale isn't too bad either - well a very decent pint in fact.

Nice pub, slightly off the beaten track. Great for local walkers or visitors to Sandringham. Sensible food and drink prices, especially the Lacons. The pub had made a good effort with the Covid-19 precautions: masks, screens at the bar, address register and disposable crockery. It made me feel at ease, and hopefully encourages the punters to take things seriously too. Larger beer garden at the back.

Although this is close to Sandringham it is very much a village local with good value interesting pub food and a great selection of cask beer and cider. It is not huge, but there is a separate dining area and games area as well as a bar fro the drinkers. The service is very pleasant and there is also a beer garden for the summer months.
I love the Pink Floyd poster.

Great tasting tapas with good service.
We visited with parents on a Saturday shortly after the tapas menu had started.
Portion sizes were adequate & filling. Recommend max of 3 per person.
Quality of the food was great. Especially the ox cheek @ £8.95. Slow cooked for 8 hours & delicious. Much of the food was made on site as well. Which makes a change to the Bidvest fare available at so many restaurants.
Most tapas were c. £5.50 / £6.00 each though.
Fantastic cleanliness throughout & good spacing between tables also made us feel comfortable inside.
Service was also prompt, attentive & efficient.
The only small criticism I have is that is that some of the dishes we’re unavailable as they’d sold out.
Thanks once again.

Walked in to what we thought would be a friendly pub in Dersingham... how wrong were we. Ridiculed by the locals, all of whom were huddled around the bar, for wearing our face mask. Given the current situation regard the rise in cases of COVID nationally we were SHOCKED at the ridicule we received and the jibs by the customers. Left this establishment and walked a short distance were established precautions were in place: The Feathers and enjoyed a pint.

This evening, we decided to try the Tapas Menu at the Coach and Horses. We were keen to get out after ease of Lockdown and keen to support a local pub.
We were not disappointed.
Staff are friendly and keen to please.
Whilst there is a good choice of dishes, we went for the 'Pick any 5 tapas dishes for £24.95'
Albondigos.
Spanish meatballs in tomato sauce
Pollo con Sumac
Chicken in a cream garlic sauce topped with sumac
Judias verdes y puerros
Green bean and leeks in herb butter
Pasta Alicante
Chicken and chorizo in tomato sauce
Patatas Braves
Diced potatoes topped with a paprika chilli and garlic tomato sauce

The Tapas exceeded our expectations.
Very good value.
The portions were of ample size and absolutely delicious. Compliments to the Chef 👍

We will certainly be returning.
Thank you.
Good to see the pub open again.
Good to see Landlords visible.
Well done to Tommy and Chris and the Team.
Every success and see you soon 😊

Food was very very good everything else not so good. The service was not very attentive we had to keep asking for things e. g Dessert menus, drinks, run out of a certain wine all very disappointing. But the worse thing to stop going back again is the noise level we sat at our table could not speak to each other, when the order was being taken we had to keep repeating it time after time its very frustrating. If you want to go for a quiet meal I would avoid here, or learn sign language they need to make their mind up if they are a restaurant or bar on that amount of noise level.

Pre-booked a table for dinner, which we were shown to after ensuring we followed Covid guidelines. Very friendly staff in a country pub, engaged with customers and checked all was well. Excellent food, with very generous portions and very reasonable prices. Met other diners who had been disappointed by the excessive waiting in the pub next door, and we all agreed the Coach and Horses was a better option.

We were shown to a table for two in the dog friendly area. This was very cramped with no space, our small dog was squeezed under the table with no room to move. Our starters were very tasty, I enjoyed the tempura prawns and husband enjoyed the soup. The main Sunday Roast a Pork and a Roast Chicken were very disappointing, mostly red cabbage, overcooked broccoli, very nice carrots, I think the Roast Potatoes were reheated as was the very dry Yorkshire Pudding.
I found this meal was overpriced and not good value for money.
I didn’t complain at the time as I felt very unwell and needed to get outside for fresh air.
The service provided was good, I do not agree with the service charge included, my husband was not aware of this.
Will not be visiting this establishment again. Very disappointed.
