Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view is just breathtaking!!
The area surround it is just gorgeous and it's a great place for a picnic.
This viewpoint is accessible by car (there's enough area for parking). Alternatively, you can hike all the way up (not easy..).
Highly recommended if you are in the Peneda-Geres National Park.

A lovely drive from Geres through woods with enormous great rocks and boulders, and then a short walk to admire the view of the lake below. Loved the picnic tables made out of stone. Worth continuing to Cascata do Avado (although road unmade towards the end) and climbing up to see the waterfall.

Great view but felt a little unsafe with a 4 yr old and 1 yr ols running around the place. Just needed to keep them close at all times.

Amazing view from the top of one of the most known viewpoints of Gerês. I hardly recommend visit it. I had the chance to be there at the middle of the morning but should be an excellent experience being there at the sunset. With some lucky you can see some wild horses on the way to there

If you only have time for one visit, make this destination your priority- simply amazing. If you can, take the trail, through the "forest".

One of the best overlooks I’ve ever seen anywhere. It was cloudy where went but we were above the clouds yet it was still incredible.

Magnificent spot to appreciate the landscape views from above, with the village of Gerês at the bottom. Idyllic place for picnic.

A quick winter walk turned into a long hike - starting from Geres town, took the map from the tourist office for a 10km walk. Didn't notice (although it was shown) that it starts with a 600m rise! But worth it for the view from the Miradouro at the top

Take a tour to the waterfalls around, besides the view from the belvedere, and explore typical parties, specially Halloween.

Great view.... We were there at the end of the day and as the Sun goes down the more beautifull it gets - great light for photos. Plenty of pic-nic tables under the shade so great place to recover the energies. Has a very nice open road and a water tank just before so a great place to strech the legs.
