Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We are so pleased to have purchased tickets for this Opera performance of L’Elisir D’Amore by Donizetti by this especially talented group of musicians and singers.. Right from the beginning the quality of the performance was established.. just looking around at the full house one could determine that the staging and the atmosphere of this opera was a grand success..we were totally involved throughout this delightful experience...

A trip to the Angela Peralta Theatre is definitely one of the best things to do in San Miguel de Allende. Named after the queen of Mexican opera, this intimate theatre hosts a variety of performances from both local and visiting artists. We saw 2 concerts here that were wonderful.

This pretty theater in the center of San Miguel is a great place to hear a concert or opera. Since it is small it feels intimate and no seat is very far from the stage. There are plenty of good restaurants and hotels nearby.

As a theater buff I was highly disappointed to pay a stiff fee to enter the building and hear a tour guide only speak in Spanish. Most of the area is roped off; you can view the external stage, some chairs and the bathrooms. Use your time and money elsewhere and take pictures of the front of the building or come for a performance. I could NEVER get the email address to respond either in Spanish or English.

Certainly this stage/concert location is the place to go for a wide variety of performances in San Miguel de Allende..it was built in 1873 and apparently was a sought after place right away..all the seats offer very solid views and the location is very central in SMA..the sound in this performance was very clear which made the evening quite spectacular..the performance - L’Eliser D’Amore opera was totally beautifully staged and the singing was heartfelt..

The Angela peralta Theatre is the only Opera house on the western side of mexico, built one hundred years ago in the name of the famous Opera Singer Angela peralta. It is situated in the Plaza machado in mazatlan. I am a tenor and I sing at the Opera House so I know something about it. The Architecture is Victorian and is a medium sized Opera House, They do have well known stars appear there and generally one show a week is available to see. Actual Opera shows are in December. Right now singers can be heard rehersing their parts. Access can be made through the main door by permission of the doorman.
