Did a three hour visit. The resort is attractive and staff members are friendly and attentive. Thermal pools were very pleasant. Mojitos were very good and cheap. $50 US for an excellent one hour couples massage seems hard to beat on value. Highly recommended.

We like coming here very much, the hot springs are just that, hot!! If you are a jacuzzi lover, this place will suit your fancy! The drinks and all commodities are a bit pricey, so don't forget your towel because they ARE expensive and thin as onion skin! A lovely place to go and spend the mid morning or afternoon!

I've been here with my family and it's by far a must see attraction. It is super affordable to anyone and there facility is very large. They have a swimming pool, thermal water caves, restaurant, changing rooms, bathrooms, shower, etc. I've come here various times and never get bored. I recommend trying their guacamole.

Cheap thrills and great hot springs. Drinking margaritas in a big public hot tub. All for $6.00 each, compared to $30 at othe springs

My family (2 adults, 2 kids ages 7 & 10) had a lovely day at La Gruta Spa. It wasn't as busy as I anticipated since we went on a weekend. Of course our favorite spot was finding the tunnel to the covered cave like pool, where it was steamy and hot. My kids thought this area was too hot,... More

My uncle lives in San Miguel and this is the place that the locals go. He'll go in the morning, have breakfast, relax in the warm pools then go to work. It wasn't very crowded when we went at about 1pm. It's a beautiful picturesque setting. The pools are warm and not very deep. I'm 5'3 and I could touch... More

There are much more upscale private hot baths in SMA. There is one bath in particular that does not allow anyone under the age of 18... but La Gruta is just one of the average to go to spots. They have a bar and restaurant on-site and I will say their food is pretty good. Drinks are not over priced... More

Someone told me that they had natural thermal water pools, which is a lie, I could even spot where the water heater was, nevertheless the place is quite nice but really crowded on holidays and restaurant service is a bit slow.

With 3 year old! Lots of trip-ables! Water deeper than I expected! Take swim vest if not experienced swimmer. Open til 5 1-2 hours ENOUGH! Restaurant closes so order in time with hungry kids!

We decided to take an afternoon trip to this hot springs as we've never done anything like that before and it seemed interesting. We really didn't know what to expect. Little did we know what a fun day out we'd have. When we arrived, it felt like a a public pool. You had to queue up and get tickets and... More
