The staff were not overly friendly. Lovely open fire and good beer. Tables were grubby. Would not eat there as a matter of choice.

Enjoyed a very pleasant dinner here on a Sunday evening. Very popular restaurant - every table occupied. Food and service was good but accommodation a bit cramped. Clearly a favourite with visitors to the area.

Very poor lunch (27/09). Grumpy to the point of hostile bar staff who found our complaint amusing. My expensive ham sandwich was processed sliced bread and the tiniest sliver of ham I could imagine (probably technically under wafer). So many better local options.
