So glad we chose Cabo Outfitters for our turtle release outing. From the first phone call to schedule it to the experience itself they were so kind and accommodating for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. Communication ahead of time was great. We were allowed to bring our car seat for our 2 year old and picked up at our hotel at scheduled time. The experience itself was absolutely memorable from the tiny turtle crawl to the giant waves to the beautiful sunset. Also we were able to get dropped off at a restaurant they recommended that was so perfect for our group. Thanks for everything.

We had a wonderful time on the all-day Cabo Pulmo kayak and snorkel tour with Casey and Carlos. I spoke with Stacey before the trip to coordinate everything and she was able to answer all of my questions and make sure that they were able to provide a vegan lunch for my partner. The guides picked us up from our condo, and thus began our two hour ride to Cabo Pulmo. Despite the long ride, Casey kept us entertained with fun facts about the area and stories about some of the history of Cabo Pulmo's status as a protected area. Once we arrived at the beach, we kayaked to another beach, where we were able to snorkel at the reef. The visibility was so good the day that we went that we spent a lot more time snorkeling than paddling. Casey offered to take us on a hike after our snorkel, but we got so carried away looking at fish that we ended up snorkeling for a good hour and a half and running out of time to hike!
Many "all-day" tours offer a simple lunch or a "make your own sandwich" bar, but not this tour! Lunch at a local restaurant was included, and I ate some of the best fish tacos on my entire ten-day trip to Baja.
I loved having the opportunity to visit a quieter, more out of the way part of the peninsula, and hope that Cabo Pulmo can stay rustic and avoid the development that's happening elsewhere in Baja. I highly recommend Cabo Outfitters and would absolutely book another tour with them on my next visit.

While visiting Cabo this year we decided we wanted to do something different than we normally do, so we googled "Things to do in Cabo" and found this company that does a hike up to a waterfall, we thought that sounded fun and different so we booked it.
Casey picked us up at our resort (right on time) and drive us about an hour outside Cabo to Santiago where the Canyon de la Zorra is, first off it's a beautiful drive and once you get there you will see the real beauty of Cabo.
Our hike was moderate, a little rough here and there but once you got to the river and the waterfalls you will forgot the hike.
Casey took my husband and our friend a little further where they slide down a rock waterfall, my husband loved it! but we had a small problem, my husband hiking sandals fell apart and he had to hike in barefoot on the way back, but Casey was so great that as we got closer to the main waterfall he ran back to his van and bought my husband his extra flip flops so he wouldn't have to hike barefoot anymore.
After the fun of the hike and swimming at the waterfall Casey took us on a tour of the small town of Santiago and then we stopped at a small family run taco shop and on the best tacos.
If you want to do something different in Cabo contact Casey and go out to experience beautiful.
On the ran home Casey told us that his company also does Baby Turtle release, so we sign up for that too!
Again Casey picked us up at our resort and drove us to where the hatch the baby turtles, they told us how they find the eggs and take them to a safe place to hatch. Then they gave us 150 baby turtles to release, Casey drove us and the turtles to a beach that wasn't crowded, then Casey told us how to hold the turtles and how to release them. How important it was that the turtles make their way to the ocean by themselves, that they mark their way as they go in so they know where to come back to when they are ready to lay their eggs.
This was on my bucket list, so it was a very special moment for me and one that I will always remember and I thank Casey for making it so special.
Cabo Outfitters is a great company that are hands-on and will make your day special.

My wife and I scheduled this back in 2020 but had to reschedule because of COVID.
We were so excited to finally make out and the experience was more than we expected.
Casey picked us and 5 others up and took us to an estuary where we collectively released 300 sea turtles and watched them ALL make out safely out to sea.
Casey shared his years of knowledge that made the experience so much more special.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone that shares out love for the ocean, sealife and turtles particular.
If you’re looking for a tour to book, this of the one!
Family fun business where I have been communicating with one of the owners Stacey since 2020. They obviously love what they do and it shows.
Thank you Casey and Stacey for such an awesome experience. One bucket list item we’ll never forget.

Cabo Outfitters is not only a fantastic company, but they have found a way to increase the good that they do in the world by hosting a tour to release baby turtles. What an amazing experience to learn about the hours needed to ensure that baby turtles will have a chance to survive and then take part in helping to provide them the opportunity to reach the ocean.
Cabo Outfitters cares about the experience of their clients but also about their community and it's ecosystem!

We were fortunate enough to be able to go on multiple trips with this family run and eco-friendly business. From the moment we called and booked a reservation, to the completion of our trips, our customer service was top notch! The owners and guides were awesome! They were incredibly knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, very experienced, and fun to hang out with. Our first trip was so top notch, that we booked them for more trips. We started with the 3 bay kayaking and snorkeling trip. The whale’s were breaching and spouting so close to us that you could hear them. Any closer and they would have splashed us! Also the snorkeling was incredible! We saw turtles, rays, moray eels, and tons of fish. The waterfall and hot spring trip was also amazing. It is a tropical oasis in the desert, with a beautiful swimming hole in refreshing pristine water. Finally we went to the Arch and Lover’s Beach which is a must see.
We highly recommend this company to everyone. If you don’t book Cabo Oufitters, you’re missing out.

Great kayak and snorkel trip with Casey! It was a full group but we never felt rushed or overlooked. Highlights included seeing several whales JUMP right out of the water. We got lucky, but I would fully recommend the paddling and snorkeling as well.

Casey and crew did an awesome job with a small tour to the arch. We contacts them after hours Friday night asking if we could go on Saturday morning and they did everything they could to accommodate. We had an awesome paddle and swim them!

We went on the kayak/snorkel tour with Casey to Lover's Beach, The Arch, & Pelican Rock for the first time in Dec. 2021. We had such a great time, we decided to do it again in January 2023! Casey picked us up from our condo in San José and then we picked up two other adventurers (for a total of 7 tourists) before starting on our tour. Everything was great, though the water wasn't as clear at Pelican Rock, so Casey drove us to Chileno Beach to snorkel there. He guided our group out into the reef and rocks to see some spectacular fish! We highly recommend Casey and Cabo Outfitters, and we look forward to our next tour with him!

A truly wonderful experience. The group picked us up on time right outside of our hotel and brought us to a secluded beach to get ready to hit the water. They were very knowledgeable about everything as we went through the Arch and visited Lovers Beach. Snorkeling was FANTASTIC!! Best I have seen in Cabo in many years. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for an active adventure to experience the most popular image of Cabo up close and personal, to join this outing!

I believe Cabo Outfitters indicated they use double tandem kayaks. If we have 3 people in our group would 1 person just go solo on a kayak meant for two people? In your opinion would it be more difficult for 1 person on a kayak meant for two people?
Thanks

If my trip is in September when would be a good time to schedule for the Turtle release? Would I pay at time of scheduling or when we get there?
Written 11 March 2019
We have started taking turtle release reservations for the fall. So, anytime is fine. Our turtle releases fill up, but September is usually a slow month. I would suggest making your reservation at least a month prior to your arrival in Sept to be on the safe side. You pay on the day of your trip. Thank you!

Hello,
is this your web page to book tours? cabo-outfitters com
We would like to enjoy the arch and the best place to snorkel, can you please recommend a tour, maybe sounds silly question considering there is the arch and lover's beach, but anyway I want to make sure.
Thank you

Hello!
Yes, that is our website. If you want to see the Arch, sea lion colony, Lover's Beach, etc. then you should do The Arch & Lover's Beach kayak/snorkel. None of our other trips take place in this area. We snorkel either off Lover's Beach out to Neptune's Finger or around Pelican Rock, depending on the conditions of the day. Visibility hasn't been very good since the storm last week, but hopefully it will clear up soon.
The 3 Bay offers the easiest snorkeling; at Sta Maria & Chileno. It's a longer kayak, about 3 miles, where The Arch is only about a mile of kayaking, so more of a workout.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!! -Stacey

When we went, our daughters snorkeled while we hung out on Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach. It was great!

So how exactly did you book it?
There are no prices, location, dates nothing but asking you for your full info and CC.
Sounds really scamming to me.
How did you find them.
It says you get to release one but you did a bunch?
On my wifes bucket list.

Are you still going to Cabo? If it’s not too late, I’m happy to get you connected with the owners directly. We’ve been using this company since 2010 and would never consider going to someone else. They are the best!

Hi, nothumn1. What would you like to know about this attraction?
So I go to their website and it tells you nothing. just wants CC information. no prices, location, dates anything.

Are there specific dates for the turtle release or is it offered yeat round?
Written 14 June 2017
We start our baby sea turtle releases on Sept 1st and continue until Dec 15th. Not available on Sundays or Mondays. It takes place at sunset, approx 3 hours if your accommodation is in CSL or approx 4 hours from accommodations in SJD. Last year's rates: $80 USD per adult; $55 USD per child under 12 years. Thank you!
Written 14 June 2017
How much do you charge for your turtle release and what age do you need to be. Also- how far are you from Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and do you provide transportation?
Thank you!
Stephanie
Written 31 January 2017
We went last year and I want to say to was around 80 per person. They provided transportation, which was great as it was a good distance away.
It was so fantastic. I would highly recommend. We gave a donation to the staff at the sanctuary.

Can anybody help answer a few questions with our upcoming trip in February. Greatly appreciated!
For the 3 Bay Excursion with Cabos Outfitters - Has anybody booked this online or wait till we get to San Jose in February?
Do you need kayaking experience? Are life jackets provided? Are you snorkelling from the beach or do you jump into the Sea?
Thanks!
Written 14 January 2017
I booked it online in advanced although you pay for it the day of the excursion. They also offer a discounted price if you pay in cash. I had zero kayaking experience and it was still fun and not that difficult. Life jackets are provided as well as wet suits if you want them for snorkeling. You'll kayak to the beaches and snorkel from the beach.
