Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We did the turtle release. It was an amazing experience. We loved the entire tour from picking up the babies to releasing them safely into the ocean.

We did the turtle release tour and it was a really cool experience. We picked up our baby turtles (all born today!) and drove them to the release beach. Our guide Casey was friendly and knowledge and seemed to genuinely care about conservation and our turtles. He answered all of our questions (whether about sea turtles or Cabo or anything else) and made sure we got as many pictures as we wanted. We were taught how to handle the turtles and make sure they made it down the beach into the ocean. All this with a beautiful sunset backdrop. I highly recommend this experience.

My group did the turtle release and 3 Bay kayak/snorkeling tour with Cabo Outfitters. We LOVED every second of it! Casey & his crew were so fun to hang out with, communication was great, and they took care of us so well! I definitely recommend this family owned business.
Turtle release: Casey picked us up at our hotel and took us to the hatchery, where we picked up baby turtles and then released them.
3 Bay: Casey picked us up from our hotel and took us to a bay, we put the kayaks I to big waves and stayed upright! We kayaked a mile, stopped and snorkeled, kayaked 2 more miles, stopped and snorkeled. At each location, Casey and his crew showed us cool things in the water and let us explore on our own. They also had water and chips for us to snack on.
*If you have your own snorkel gear, you could bring it.
*bring as little as possible. Comfortable flip flops.
*travel size sun screen, hat and sunglasses are a must! The sun is fierce on the water.
*towel is a good idea.

My wife and I scheduled this back in 2020 but had to reschedule because of COVID.
We were so excited to finally make out and the experience was more than we expected.
Casey picked us and 5 others up and took us to an estuary where we collectively released 300 sea turtles and watched them ALL make out safely out to sea.
Casey shared his years of knowledge that made the experience so much more special.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone that shares out love for the ocean, sealife and turtles particular.
If you’re looking for a tour to book, this of the one!
Family fun business where I have been communicating with one of the owners Stacey since 2020. They obviously love what they do and it shows.
Thank you Casey and Stacey for such an awesome experience. One bucket list item we’ll never forget.

We were fortunate enough to be able to go on multiple trips with this family run and eco-friendly business. From the moment we called and booked a reservation, to the completion of our trips, our customer service was top notch! The owners and guides were awesome! They were incredibly knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, very experienced, and fun to hang out with. Our first trip was so top notch, that we booked them for more trips. We started with the 3 bay kayaking and snorkeling trip. The whale’s were breaching and spouting so close to us that you could hear them. Any closer and they would have splashed us! Also the snorkeling was incredible! We saw turtles, rays, moray eels, and tons of fish. The waterfall and hot spring trip was also amazing. It is a tropical oasis in the desert, with a beautiful swimming hole in refreshing pristine water. Finally we went to the Arch and Lover’s Beach which is a must see.
We highly recommend this company to everyone. If you don’t book Cabo Oufitters, you’re missing out.

Four of us had a great kayaking trip with Casey and Carlos. We did the 3-bay kayak trip. Paddling was fun through the waves. Casey provided us a lot of information. Carlos provided wonderful support at the beaches. The snorkeling was great at Chileno beach.

We had so much fun doing the turtle release with Casey. We got lucky and it was just our group. We took my 3 year old toddler and he keeps asking to go back to release more turtles. It was amazing seeing these little turtles and learning about them. We look forward to doing more ventures with Casey. He was super understanding with a toddler in tow as well which made it more enjoyable for us!

We did two days with Cabo Outfitters - the first surfing in San Jose del Cabo and the second kayaking out to the Arch and snorkeling at Pelican rock. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, on time and with a great attitude and lots of local info. Our surf instructor was knowledgeable and very personable. We had initially booked the 3-Bay Kayak trip. On the morning of, they gave us the option to switch the location and do a shorter kayak, since it was so hot outside (end of July) and the snorkeling in that area had been really good. We were so glad they did that because it was all perfect and we saw so many beautiful fish.

Amazing kayak and snorkel trip! Casey is a fabulous guide. He’s very knowledgeable about kayaking and snorkeling and also the area. He made everyone feel comfortable and included. Our youngest did not want to go snorkeling, and Casey helped him see and identify fish right at the shoreline. Would book again next time we’re in Cabo.

Great local trip with Casey to the Three Bay Area. Snorkeling was fantastic.....so much better than giant groups of people with life jackets on. If you are an experienced snorkeler, this is the trip for you. Will definitely book with Cabo Outfitters again when we next come down.

If my trip is in September when would be a good time to schedule for the Turtle release? Would I pay at time of scheduling or when we get there?
CO2008
San Jose del Cabo
We have started taking turtle release reservations for the fall. So, anytime is fine. Our turtle releases fill up, but September is usually a slow month. I would suggest making your reservation at least a month prior to your arrival in Sept to be on the safe side. You pay on the day of your trip. Thank you!

Hello,
is this your web page to book tours? cabo-outfitters com
We would like to enjoy the arch and the best place to snorkel, can you please recommend a tour, maybe sounds silly question considering there is the arch and lover's beach, but anyway I want to make sure.
Thank you

Hello!
Yes, that is our website. If you want to see the Arch, sea lion colony, Lover's Beach, etc. then you should do The Arch & Lover's Beach kayak/snorkel. None of our other trips take place in this area. We snorkel either off Lover's Beach out to Neptune's Finger or around Pelican Rock, depending on the conditions of the day. Visibility hasn't been very good since the storm last week, but hopefully it will clear up soon.
The 3 Bay offers the easiest snorkeling; at Sta Maria & Chileno. It's a longer kayak, about 3 miles, where The Arch is only about a mile of kayaking, so more of a workout.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!! -Stacey

When we went, our daughters snorkeled while we hung out on Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach. It was great!

So how exactly did you book it?
There are no prices, location, dates nothing but asking you for your full info and CC.
Sounds really scamming to me.
How did you find them.
It says you get to release one but you did a bunch?
On my wifes bucket list.

Are you still going to Cabo? If it’s not too late, I’m happy to get you connected with the owners directly. We’ve been using this company since 2010 and would never consider going to someone else. They are the best!

How much do you charge for your turtle release and what age do you need to be. Also- how far are you from Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and do you provide transportation?
Thank you!

We went last year and I want to say to was around 80 per person. They provided transportation, which was great as it was a good distance away.
It was so fantastic. I would highly recommend. We gave a donation to the staff at the sanctuary.

Can anybody help answer a few questions with our upcoming trip in February. Greatly appreciated!
For the 3 Bay Excursion with Cabos Outfitters - Has anybody booked this online or wait till we get to San Jose in February?
Do you need kayaking experience? Are life jackets provided? Are you snorkelling from the beach or do you jump into the Sea?
Thanks!

I booked it online in advanced although you pay for it the day of the excursion. They also offer a discounted price if you pay in cash. I had zero kayaking experience and it was still fun and not that difficult. Life jackets are provided as well as wet suits if you want them for snorkeling. You'll kayak to the beaches and snorkel from the beach.
How log do excursions last and what is your price range
