We have visited several of the other beaches in the Los Cabos area, but Playa Santa Maria is our favorite. We like the small size of the cove, the variety of fish, the easy access, and the peaceful views. Location: drive from Cabo on Hwy...More

We visited this beach on a hot summer Sunday. The parking area was full and it was a long walk to the beach. It was crowded, the pebbly sand was too hot to walk on and the water didn't seem very clean. It is a...More

Longer walk to the beach but well worth it. The day we were there a hurricane was coming so the swells were too high to swim but it was beautiful.

We took a private deluxe sailing for 5 hours and landed on Santa Maria Beach for paddle Boarding and snorkeling. This place was amazing with crystal aqua waters and sanding beach. The colorful fish were stunning! A must to do on your trip.

Amazing little beach. Kept very well cleaned. Come early when there are less boats at the bay. No amenities here so bring your own food and drinks and make sure to take all your trash with you.

I wrote a review of the Montage hotel on Santa Maria Beach and meant to caption it as "BEST BEACH IN CABO" but instead wrote beach beach in Cabo. It truly is a lovely beach, though, the waters are pretty calm, clear, and there is...More

We got there in the afternoon and there were only a couple of local families and we enjoyed the quiet and the sound of the sea. There were a few boats anchored on the beach and when they left, it was perfect. The beach is...More

Santa Maria beach is a beautiful little bay where you can swim in the Pacific Ocean. Most of the resorts in Cabo are located in areas where swimming is not an option -- and this was a beautiful place to get a full beach experience:...More

I was very impressed by the newer parking area, bathrooms, showers and walkway at this beach. We stayed at a hotel on the Pacific side so couldn't swim at our resort. We spent an afternoon at Santa Maria and swam even though the yellow flags...More

Easy enough to catch the bus there. Also there are taxis waiting everywhere outside your buildings. tell them to pick you up at a certain time and they will. We have always just rented a car while there.

I would suggest you Goggle map it. Chileno beach is closer for you if you're staying in San Jose.and also a "very" nice place to snorkel.

All the answers I read were correct. At the time we went there was no charge for beach access or parking. No bar or food vendors around. Construction ongoing. Water is clear, but there is not much to see for snorkeling.
