We just returned home from a two week trip to Cabo. While there we decided to take a snorkeling excursion out to Santa Maria Beach. While I had not found a lot of really good places to snorkel in Cabo this turned out to be a great activity. Not only was the snorkeling excellent but the Santa Maria Beach area... More

What was once a pretty beach, in a peaceful location now has a building site at the rear of it so noise, dust and in time hundreds more people! So if you are looking for a quiet beach this may sadly no longer be the best choice although it's still a pretty beach. You also get the snorkelling and party... More

This is a great little beach for snorkeling which you can get to by car (it's a locals beach too) or by any snorkel cruise. We have been twice to this cove for snorkel fun and we love it. There's not a ton to see and they don't let you stay long but it's fun to cruise there. The tuna... More

This lovely, secluded beach is slowly being gobbled up by a 2200 acres development. Parking is now by the highway with a significant walk to the beach. Now while they've added a paved pathway and shower/washroom facilities near the parking, the massive development takes away from what was a rather quiet beach.

A few minutes drive from downtown Cabo and you find this awesome beach - paved parking - clean washrooms - info booth - and calm waters for snorkeling, diving or swimming - soon though the private homes may ruin this area

We went around 9 am and were able to get a free shade structure. If there aren't any available and you didn't bring your own umbrella, there is a man renting them in the parking lot. The parking facilities were upgraded since our last visit and they now have a clean restroom. The best location to view fish is on... More

It is a short walk to the beach from the parking lot. The washrooms are at the beginning of the path down to the beach. No dogs aloud on this beach. There are palapas to shade you but bring an umbrella for busier days. Also known as a good snorkeling area.

We had been spending time at our beach at the Hacienda del Mar and thought it would be nice to try another location. We had a rental car so we grabbed our towels and sun screen and made our way to Santa Maria Beach. The location is very nice and the snorkling ( I assume) in this area is also... More

This beach has a fair size parking lot but be prepared for a bit of a walk on a paved path. It's worth it. Sand here is pebbly so it wont stick to you like the fine stuff. The water is safe for even a poor swimmer like me but does get deep quickly. It's in a bay so a... More
