This is one of the best beaches I have been too. It is sort of off the beaten road but clearly popular enough that they started to renovate the little infrastructure and make a nicer dirt road. They are working on installing bathrooms instead of portapotties. Also there is a lifeguard and 20 or so solid permanent wooden umbrellas to... More

Love this place, you need a car since it's a few miles away from Cabo downtown. Snorkeling boats come here. The new palapas are awesome. My favorite beach in Cabo!

We drove here so it didn't cost a thing. TONS of fish to enjoy and a huge beach with some shelters. We snorkeled to the right when you face the ocean. Some coral but a huge variety of fish. This is a must do in Cabo.

Just posted a great review of Chileno Beach and referenced Santa Maria beach as these two are in my top three favourite ever snorkelling beaches - and I've been to quite a few around the world. Santa Maria is hands down my favourite! The beauty of Santa Maria is that it's mostly locals and it is half way between San... More

This place is awesome. Quiet beautiful beach, free papayas (if you get there early enough) and fantastic snorkeling. You gotta go!

We haven't been to Playa Santa Maria on over 10 years and were pleasantly surprised with the changes. There used to be a long walk from the parking area and no shade. There are now several palapas on both sides if the beach and parking is very close, we visited twice. Each time the water was clear, warm, and the... More

It's easiest to get here if you have a car, but you can get there by bus also. Take your own water and snacks because they do not sell anything. Well, other than the people trying to sell you their wares. You can rent an umbrella and snorkeling gear however. Beautiful water and ideal for a swim or snorkeling.

Great place to relax and snorkel. A lot of construction currently in area, but bean is open. Just a few min drive out of Cabo so you don't need to take the snorkel boat to get there.

This beach is usually pretty quite. There are permanent beach umbrella built on the beach and we've never had trouble getting one. Also There is some really great snorkeling (especially on the right (south) side.) The fish love to come out when the tours come in as they get fed.

You can drive to this location and save alot of money. Snorkeling is fantastic, warm water and the waves are not pounding, lots of colorful fish. Or just go to spend a day at the beach. They have upgraded the amenities so you can enjoy the experience with out the beach vendors bothering you, only a few are there. Take... More
