This beach was tranquil, sunny, and very relaxing. The water is a perfect temperature, and swimmable, which is rare for this part of the Baja Peninsula. I enjoyed how it's a public beach, too, which meant there were a lot of families frolicking in the waves and not just guests of the fancy hotel right behind the beach. I'd recommend Palmilla to anyone looking for a fun swim in the San Jose Del Cabo area.

average public beach, bigger cove so more people. you can rent an umbrella and it's nice enough. public bathrooms but no shower to rinse off that i could see. my biggest downside is they have surveillance cameras on the beach because of the hotel behind. i don't like the idea of being watched from some security room. i leaned against an empty cabana near our umbrella and a security guard came running out, he felt a bit silly as i wasn't doing anything. after that we left, ruined the mood. i was told the hotel tried to make the beach private for the hotel guests but the the government wouldn't let them.

Protected by the point, this is a safe beach to swim but you still need to pay attention to the wind & water condition. Local fishermen depart on guided tours from there to a fishing bank 3 miles out. Lots of activities.

Beautiful quiet beach. We went end of October and early in the moring so there were very few people. We were easily able to rent an umbrella and 2 beach chairs for $20 US. The water is warm and a beautiful blue. You have to be careful where you step as there are underwater rocks. If you go further to the right from the enterance there are fewer rocks. Parking is right on the beach so be careful where you park so you don't get dug in. But if you do get stuck, everyone is so kind and helpful, you'll be out in no time.

Great beach with excellent public bathrooms although no toilet lids in ladies bathroom so that was an adjustment lol. We got there at 10 AM so were lucky enough to get a palapa and were able to rent chairs. It was 400 pesos for 4 chairs so a bit expensive. There are no food vendors so make sure to bring your food and drinks. Saw lots of whales breaching which was awesome! Swimming was difficult in front of where the palapas are but if you walk to the left down a bit it’s much calmer and easy to swim.
We were staying at Posada Real and it was an easy and inexpensive Uber to Playa Palmilla

At first I didn't find this beach that impressive but walking on the right side of the beach along the rock formations was very pretty (where the hotels have beds and such for their guests). No food is available. I didn't snorkel as it was windy and water looked choppy (in Feb). Plus I visited all the best beaches for snorkeling in Cabo and wasn't impressed with the snorkeling in any of them.

To get there, I took the purple Dusierto bus from downtown Cabo San Lucas (I asked the driver to let me know when we arrived). I took the bus back as well, smooth experience.

We really enjoyed our time here. It was just me and my 9 year old son this day so we packed a small Styrofoam cooler from the grocery store with drinks and sandwich stuff for an afternoon. No food or drinks for sale so bring your own stuff. We took uber out here and it was fairly easy. We went on a Tuesday so it was not too busy. They have umbrellas and chairs for rent from some very nice and helpful gentlemen. The fisherman come and go on the shore which was cool to watch, I think you can go out with them and they will filet your catch, but we did not do that. Definitely recommend for a family beach day. It's gorgeous.

This beach was much nicer than I expected. It is not huge (walk from one end to the other in 20 minutes), but the sand is soft and the swimming was fantastic. The water was much prettier and bluer than I expected too. Great for stand up paddling boarding too because it was mostly very calm.

Gorgeous swimmable beach near San Jose del Cabo. We were there end of February 2024 and the washrooms were closed. Not sure if it was just the day we were there but a heads up as there is no place to change or other facilities.

Lovely location and a whale jumped out of the water for all to see. Pretty special.

We came by this beach as a side note from our tour guide as we were talking about The Residences in Palmilla. He informed us that this beautiful beach is public. Its amazing and I'm glad to know i will be able to visit it for longer time.
