A Church visit in San Jose del Cabo

I walked into the town of San Jose del Cabo and in the town square I saw a Church and decided to go inside and take a look. It was very nice.

Small beautiful church/chapel built hundreds of years ago. The church has Spanish services. It takes no more than 10 minutes to look at all around but the architecture is beautiful all around. No tours but small plaque telling you information in English along with Spanish.

Centrally located across from the main plaza in town this "mission" is very beautiful and worth the visit. If you're lucky you might get to witness a wedding or baptism being preformed.

The tour guide for our excursion took us to this church before letting us walk around the town. This is apparently the oldest church in the area and it looked as if it were maintained pretty well for it's age. Be sure to check out the "interesting" mosaic above the front doors.

Wonderful old church on the main square in San Jose. Open all the time for sightseeing and reflection. Masses daily at 7am and 7pm

This is a must see historical church for the region. You can attend mass as well as read about it's history.

The church dates back to '800 and it's very simple outside and inside. Few statues, white walls, simple altar. But the setting is nice on top of the the main square. For this small town it is a must to visit it.

One of the stops on our tour through Land's End Tours. Good historical place and background of how the church was established back 300-400 years ago here in Los Cabos area.

This church is a live church with Catholic services held all year around. I have attended a few weddings, which are really beautiful. Spanish language services only though.

When visiting the plaza in San Jose del Cabo, visit the cathedral. It is very nice. It has some impressivel windows. The original church dates from the 1800's, but this one was built in early 1900.
