Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went down here with the church youth, as we knew there was an excellent play area for kids and plenty of places to have a picnic, plus walks down to the beach or along the coast if the mood took. Kids had a lovely couple of hours playing on all the wooden climbing structures, rope ladders, slides, etc, whilst most others munched their lunches! Not cheap carpark. I'm guessing as there's really no choice but to pay, the council can charge what they like, so anything over 2 hours starts to get expensive (£5.10 for up to 4 hours). Captive audience mentality?

Visited midweek nice and quiet, lovely walks with the dog and views over to Brightlingsea although would imagine its gets very busy at certain times. Very narrow lane up to car park. Park very clean and toilets immaculate.
Being able to pay for car parking the day before our visit was very convenient.

Lovely park. Great for walks. Good history seeing the ww2 trail. Went to get snacks in the shop. The lady running it had her 2 dogs jumping and barking around her feet. Thought was very unhygienic and put me off getting a coffee.

Took a cycle ride to Cudmore Grove when staying on the island in mid-September. There are cycle storage / lock bars near the facilities, toilets, small kiosk selling coffees and maps showing layout of the park. Lots of different trails, a lookout structure and an amazing play park for the children. Access to the beach is easy and views across the water towards Brightlingsea worth seeing. Lots of benches where you can sit to watch the world go by. Definately worth a visit whether you're a dog walker, rambler or have children to tire out.

Essex County Council totally lost the plot and a Council not fit for purpose. Car parking fees are outrageous . 1 Hour£2.50 ; 2 Hours£3.80 ; 3 Hours£5.10 ; Max£6.30 . The metres do not give change so unless you have a card or mobile phone you are likely to get ripped off! Seem hell bent to stop folks going for a day out. It is a long drive to get to but the scenery is beautiful If walking mind the dog mess! These days Essex County Council are only interested in e scooters and cycles which is a shame. Mind the pot holes if you do go! Gavin Jones, CEO at Essex County Council, reportedly earns £254,453 a year, according to the TaxPayers' Alliance Town Hall Rich List 2023, making him the 16th highest-paid remunerated council employee in the UK.30 Apr 2023. May account for these car parking charges!!

Our first visit and we were impressed with the size and layout of the park. There's masses to explore, we went through some trees to the beach.
There's brilliant play facilities for children and plenty of space for walkers, we took our dog.
Parking was easy and plentiful, even payment using the parking app was a breeze.
The toilets were clean.
Unfortunately the refreshment kiosk was closed (hence my mark of 4 rather than 5) when we were there as we would have liked to have had a drink.
This is certainly somewhere worth spending time at and will will definitely be going back again.

We spent a good few hours exploring here. I love how they have added a little summer trail for the children to enjoy. Every time we come the ice cream hunt is closed is this permanent?
Carpark is reasonably good priced.

Narrow road down to car park which is expensive but a lovely park with a good play area for kids. Lots of dog walkers and families. Nice walk down to beach which is usually pretty quiet.

Lovely, we'll kept park with great walks and good information.
Tea room was closed and the parking seemed a bit expensive with no disabled concessions.
Apart from that, definitely worth a visit.
