Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is perhaps the nicest B&B that I have ever stayed in. Excellent clean rooms and value for money. Very quite and Mark cooks a mean breakfeast and their wines are very drinkable.

Having been recommended the B&B at the Vineyard we gave it a go this weekend for a night away and what a great experience it was.

From arrival where we enjoyed a glass of wine right from where it was grown to the departure after a delicious breakfast cooked by Mark the whole time was a triumph.

The room was comfortable, airy and well equipped and the sleep quality excellent (so peaceful).

The Vineyard's wine and beer which is available in the cafe/shop are both delicious and the cake selection is superb!

As the title suggests we enjoyed it so much we are already booked to go back soon.

Nice place to stop by for good coffee & home made cakes. We dropped in after a morning on the beach, they serve lunch but we had lunch elsewhere. Friendly service. We sampled some wines & bought a bottle of blush, took some good pics in front of the vineyards.

Once again we stopped on our walk to visit one of our favourite coffee places. A friendly welcome is always assured and the home baked cakes are very tempting- especially the chocolate brownies.

Came to the beer festival over Easter.
Was a great afternoon out in the sunshine.
Good deal on buying cards to get your drinks and food.
Good variety of beers, ciders and wine. Also soft drinks.
The food was bbq based, hotdogs, burger, hog roast.
Live band kept the atmosphere buzzing.

Felt peckish so stopped on our way to the beach for the day. Lovely staff. Average food, prices are ridiculously high, over £34 for 2 adult sandwiches and a kids sandwich that comes with crisps and we had a cold drink each.
Overall lovely grounds but would avoid the overpriced cafe.

We stopped today for a lovely lunch at the Vineyard Cafe. It’s been a very long time (pre covid) since we’ve been. Loved the transformation to a fresh new, modern, clean space. Everywhere locally was serving Mother’s Day roasts but we wanted a lighter bite as having a big meal tonight.

We had toasted sandwiches and panini’s all served with a salad garnish. Top quality ingredients- thick ham with generous amounts of cheese, super filled brie, bacon & cranberry etc. Topped off with homemade coffee & walnut cake, lemon drizzle cake and coconut & almond slice. Again, all very fresh and tasted homemade with good quality ingredients again.

All served by a welcoming relaxed family team. We will definitely be back

We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely lunch and a few bottles of Mersea Island beers. We sat outside with our little dog but it didn’t spoil our day.
