Great smaller place full of history and very cheap entrance (£1)! We enjoyed the facts and history about Mersea a lot and loved the book corner where lots of interesting books are waiting to be read. Thank you!

It is very cheap to go in so you might as well go into this museum if you are in the area. Anyone will find the history of Mersea Island interesting, and you will find out all about it here. There is an enormous collection...More

lovely play to visit. we were just there for a day but there was plenty to do for anyone staying longer. Lovely small shops, all convenient walking distance. Lovely beach. Great fun crabbing from the quay. cheap parking. lots of boating. fresh fish to buy...More

Visitors to the island who are interested in it's history could do no better than visit the museum. It only costs a £1 and there are various displays for you to see. Get the audio guide and you hear even more. Staff very pleasant. Open...More
