What a fantastic way to spend a day. Get out of the hustle and bustle of Rome (only 40 minutes by train) and spend a few hours enjoying a time in rural Italy in a real family setting. Sally greets you at the train and then takes you through the country side explaining the local history and agricultural activity. Then... More

Our family loves food so a cooking class in Rome goes without saying. After scouring thru TA and reading about 100 different snipits about all the options that are out there, we chose Convivio Rome...lucky us. After a short (an easy) train ride into the countryside, our host Sally picked us up right at the train station. She gave us... More

Being out of towners with no experience on traveling outside of the city, we were a little worried about getting out to Fara Sabina, but the instruction provided to us by Sally were great. We made it on time without any problems on our first ever train ride in Italy. The tour of the medieval city and the Abby were... More

We had a wonderful day with Sally and Guido. The 40 minute train trip out to their place was very pleasant and the instructions Guido provided were very clear. Sally met us and took us for a walk around the quaint village. We then arrived at their home and were amazed at the spectacular view from their lovely kitchen. We... More

Thanks for your wonderful review. It was great meeting you and your daughter and we hope the rest of your trip was equally enjoyable. I love your 'complaint': you are right it is very hard to leave when you are enjoying yourselves...but please feel free to return whenever you visit Italy. It would be great to see you both again. Loved the whole experience! Sally and Guido were excellent teachers and hosts. So cool to get to spend a day in the Italian countryside cooking and sharing a meal with our hosts! The brief tour of the area was a bonus! Loved it!
