Definitely walk up there or take the teleferico. The view is amazing and there is a small museum on top, that is worth visiting as well. There are some vendors around selling crafts and food. If you go early you have the place to yourself.
We took a cab there, which was kind of a mistake because we couldn't get a cab up there or uber until an hour later!

'Climbed' up to the Bufa, following first the street adjacent to Calle Angle and then a nice path with plenty of place to rest, since it is a rather steep 700 meter trail.
The view is great and the chapel nice to visit.
The views are great from La Bufa and we enjoyed walking around outside, climbing up the hills, etc. They have beautiful statues outside representing on of the famous battles in Zacatecas. If you are not a Spanish speaker, the museum itself probably is not worth...More
