Because it turns pink at dusk. Most of the cantera stone in Zacatecas is pink, and the aqueduct is no exception. Best if seen from the restaurant in the Quinta Real.

It’s unbelievable that this structure stills stands in Zacatecas! Thinking about how Zac got it’s water through this aqueduct is amazing.

Our Garmin led us right to this site. Parking was tight, but side roads may present some opportunities for parking. In the area there's a really nice park too.

one of the main attractions of the city is its aqueduct, which is located at the entrance to the city, it is worth visiting and admiring it.

You can't miss this acqueduct and its beautiful arches as you drive into town. As far as I could tell, the acqueduct center is underground and can't be visited. But this structure is great for pictures in the early evening against the pink clouds with...More
