We booked a Full package with Norway Active from Voss station to Myrdal and then from Myrdal with the Flåm train, which was really nice. We were suppose to get off the train and ride mountain bikes down to Flåm, but due to road works that unfortunately didn’t happen. We were told we’d get a refund for the cancelled bike leg, but we are still waiting for that.
The fjord safari was very interesting and time just flew by. The trip offers some fantastic views, but we were happy to have come during Covid-19, as it meant no cruise ships....that would have been awful!!
The white water rafting was something we had looked forward to and it was great fun! There were plenty of water in the river and we just had a great time!
A hot meal was included in the price, but neither of us cared much for the vegetarian lasagne and maybe just a suggestion to include a drink in the price instead of having to pay for that separately.
All in all a very good day!

Fantastic experience to go white water rafting in the Class 4 rapid tour. definitely recommend if you don’t mind getting wet and having a lot of fun. The guides were fantastic at making everyone laugh and our raft guide Morgan was a hoot and made sure everyone was safe and well informed the whole time. Be sure to experience when in Voss

We joined the afternoon trip on Sunday 19th of July. Well organized, great and competent team of guides gave us an exciting, wild and wet experience. Rafting can not be much better then this. Highly recommended.

Nick was a fantastic guide! I had never rafted before, and he and the whole team made me feel very safe the entire time. Nick managed to provide us with the perfect balance of safety and adventure. We were amongst other tourists of varying ages and fitness, and the team managed everyone perfectly. I’m stressing fun and safety here. Those were my primary expectations and they were both 100% met.

We had a fantastic experience rafting with Voss Active. Our rafting host, Cam, looked after us at all times and gave us a memorable time down the river.
We did the regular white water rafting experience which was a little scary but really fun. The trip took around 2 hours. There were a few rapids that went pretty fast, and one even went 2 metres. The water was emerald Green and warm. In the beginning it can seem a little scary, but ones you go down the rapids you’ll quickly forget that fright and begin to have lots of fun. After our rafting trip was done, we were all a little upset of how fast is ended.
Even my 76 year old grandfather was excited about the whole experience. He jumped from a 4 metre high rock with many others
A huge thanks to Cam for being such a great host and making us laugh the whole way.

What a fab trip. We booked the family rafting for 1 adult + 2 teenagers (14 & 16) as the cheaper option, but then used the red 1-2 seater inflatable ‘duckies’ which were great. The guides were friendly & good fun and the level of whitewater was just right for us. We treated ourselves to the hot tubs afterwards (stunning view) & had the rafting lunch, which was tasty. We decided to walk back into Voss (about 1hr downhill) but we could have jumped on a local bus or paid for a lift with Voss Active. Really recommend this trip thanks for a great morning :-)

We had a great day with Manu from New Zealand and his colleague from Zimbabwe. We went canyoning because there wasn't enough water to go rafting. However this maybe was the best as we had an awesome day and an awesome experience. Manu is a really nice guy, clear in his explanations and allowing you to take your time or push you, depending on what you need to make the jump you want. Maybe one of the best days of our Norwegian trip. Only downside were the pictures, we did not buy them as the quality was very poor. Maybe this can be improved so people will purchase them to keep them as a memory, or lower the price for the quality that it was now.

Had a great time with Voss Active on the Class 4 activity. Our raft "captain" was easy to work with and knowledgeable of the course, the crew provided great support, the equipment was effective but the wetsuits we had were pretty well worn. They worked fine for their intended use. Weather in July on the day we went was perfect. Afterward a pre ordered lunch was provided at the spa which was an onsite riverside set of hot tubs, a bar, and tables inside and out. We chose the "veggie" lunch and were very happy with the vegetable lasagna that was as good as any fine restaurant. We booked the entire set of options which included transport from the train station, lunch, rafting and towel. They have very good facilities for dressing, shower, and secure lockers. IF the opportunity arises in the future to visit Norway we would be sure to go again.

Superb 7-course menu in amazing surroundings with fantastic river view! We were 8 persons dining at Elva restaurant Friday night, and we were impressed by and loved the 7 course menu. Such great taste, varied, innovative and high quality food intriguing and satisfying our taste buds! And looking amazing too! One of the best things: they use so much local food from producers just around the neighbourhood farms. Five stars to the two waiters as well!! Great service!

We had 2 great guides Cam and Manu. With 2 groups and 2 rafts we went down the Stranda river. Because the water was low we went more upstream to do extra rapids. We were with 2 children 15 and 17. All safety instructions were explained very clear but most important was fun. Manu and Cam had the excellent skills to combine the 2. Fun and safety. And also they made it fun for themselves. And if you see your guides are passionate and feel very good and comfortable than everybody has a great time. We had some adrenaline thrills and had to come for the "rescue" for the other boat but never lost fun or feeling of safety . Thanks for an unforgettable ride with you Manu. And stop by in the netherlands if you visit your aunt:).

Can my parents enter the park without payment, because they do not take part in activities or do they need to pay entry eventhough they just wanna wach?
Written 15 August 2022
We weren't at any park, I was with a large group that went river rafting. Some of the group opted out and were able to relax at the rafting center until the group returned.

Hi my husband and I are looking to make a stop at Voss on Aug 20, interested in rafting activities your team offers. If we are coming to Voss by train, will there be any pick up at the station? Also would like to plan ahead for train tickets, what time should our train arrive, latest to join the rafting activity
Written 29 June 2022
You can see the times of the available transfer option when booking online directly on our site. The pick-up time is 30 minutes before whatever trip you book, from the train station.
Hope that helps.

Hi, we are coming in on a cruise ship on June 12th from 7am to 5pm. We would love to do a white water raft trip. How long does it take us to get to your location from the cruise ship docking? Is there any availability for 2 people on a trip on June 12th?
Written 23 May 2018
Hi and thank you for your request.
Unfortunately we are fully booked June 12th. Sorry.
Hope to see you on another occasion.

Early July. Staying in Bergen on way up to Flam, Geiranger etc. Does it make sense after a few days in Bergen to take the train to Voss, have you pick us up with luggage (can you store it just 3 carryonbags) go family rafting then go back to train for ride to flam and spend night in flam or should we spend a night in Voss, then continue on the next morning to Flam?
Two other quick questions -
13 yr old son can swim and has whitewater rafted before on class 3 - is family rafting still appropriate for him or too simple/not exciting?
Same question regarding high ropes course - exciting for a 13 yr old boy whose done it before or too basic? If exciting can it be done same day as rafting? How far from rafting? How long to do the course?
Thank you for your help

Hi Samaid and thanks for your request.
It definitely makes sense to spend a day or two in Voss :) If you arrive Voss by train we can make a pick up from Voss station and bring you to our centre in Skulestadmo about 4 km North of Voss centrum.
Family rafting class 2 is a very different trip then our white water rafting class 4 but still lots of fun for children. How demanding and exciting the trip will be depends on waterlevel that day. To make it more challenging for your oldest son he can choose to have a go in one of our 2 person "duckie".
Our high ropes course should absolutely be exciting for the whole family. Duration about 2-3 hours in the high ropes course. It is possible to do both family rafting and high ropes course in one day. Our high ropes course is located about 14 km North of Voss centurum and you have to organize your own transportation. Easiest way if you dont have a car is to take a taxi.
Please get in touch by mail to make a reservation or you have any other questions.

Hi there. Voss Rafting offers great river adventures for families. The option for those that cannot swim is family rafting. During season there is daily departures for family rafting in the morning at 09:30 and in the afternoon at 14:30. Duration of the trip is about 3 hours incl. check in, briefing, changing, transportation, instruction, family rafting and shower. All you need to bring is swim wear or thermals to wear under the wetsuit and a towel for the shower after the trip. We also organize transportation from Voss to the rafting center and back after the trip. Please get in touch by mail post@vossrafting.no to make a reservation or you have any other questions. Hoping too see you all at Voss Rafting this summer :)

I'm 53 healthy but not in great shape. Is this advanture possible or is it only for the young and fit?

Rafting is for anyone who wants fun ride. You do not need to be especially fit, but able to move actively, swim and use a wet-suit and life jacket.

So we are coming from Oslo on the Norway in a Nutshell route. Stopping in Flam for a night and stopping in Voss another staying at the Fleischers Hotel. After the river rafting we are off to Bergen. Does this sound like a better idea? Thanks for your help.

Will you pick up from Bergen or do you need to be staying in Voss?
Written 7 July 2015
Hei there Captain! We do not pick-up from Bergen, but we can from the train station in Voss.
It is very easy to get from the airport to Bergen train station on an airport shuttle, then take a 1 hour 15 train to voss.
The two main hotels are close to the station and a youth hostel is a 10 minute walk away.
