So you can only get here by ferry, and at least at the end of September, the ferry schedule is quite limited. We did Pulpit Rock in the morning, and that meant we could either catch a ferry here for 1 hour or 3.5 hours...More

Seriously, it's insane. I made it roughly 1/3 of the way up before turning back and I don't regret that for a second. The views are nice, and if you go across the stairs at around 900 steps from the bottom you'll find a path...More

Up is hard; down is harder. 3 hours down over rocky, muddy, slippery terrain. Pretty scenery but a very physically demanding walk. Take your poles.

Small stairs and a loooong way up, but it’s beautiful and so worth doing. They marked the stairs every 500, they view on the way up is beautiful and it’s very different from all other hikes, to walk up all the stairs. Great view from...More

Would you climb 4444 steps up the longest wooden staircase in the world? Florli 4444 is a climb of 4444 steps (more than that in fact!) up the side of an old trolley railway beside the water pipes of an old hydro-electric power station. The...More

We had planned this trip before visiting Norway and were not disappointed. The hike up the steps was fairly straightforward if you are in good shape, but the gale and pelting rain at the top wasn't as much fun. The hike back down the mountain...More

For my sophomore visit to Lysefjorden, we started in the same steps as my last journey, by taking a walk up to Preikestolen. Which, for the second time coming, felt just like any other overcrowded tourist attraction. The thrill-seeking misanthropist in me was craving something...More

We stayed over from Friday in one of the rented apartments. Climbed the stairs in quite heavy rain, wich went well. I am not particularly fit, so I was a bit worried, but with frequent pauses to catch my breath it went fine. 1hr45 min...More

To climb those stairs yo need to be quite fit. However it's not so difficult. But it's really worth to do that, especially if do that before all the crowds. Being there alone feels like in some apocalyptic movie.
