Wonderful trips during autumn holidays! We tried both the half day trip and the day camp. Both very good and strongly recommend this for a family activity.

If you want to spend time outside, in the nature and with animals, have fun and at the same time get to know better Norwegian culture and how Norwegian farmers live - that's a place to choose! Me and my husband had a great weekend at this place: we paprticipated in daily routines like, for example, feeding animals; we have been on a dog sledging tour, had an evening tour with snowshoes and headlights deep into the winter forest; we learned a lot about horses, how to take care of them and prepare them for the tour/ride and we have had a magical horse ride tour to the woods with fireplace and home-made food and coffee. This was the first time for me riding a horse and I will remember it for the rest of my life. Family that owns the farm are wonderful, helpful and hoispitable people. Grete and Vemund made us feel very welcome there and it was always possible to get in touch with them if we needed something. We enjoyed every minute at this place and will gladly recommend it to our friends and family! And we will definitely come back there again! So if you are visiting Norway, I would definitely recommend you to experience Myhre Gaard. It's only a 3-hour drive by car from Oslo and there are also great public transportation possibilities available.

Whilst enjoying a ski holiday in Beitostolen, we decided to do the night time horse riding, to enjoy more of the beautiful countryside. It was so magical being in the forest at night on a horse. We were lucky to have a full moon, making the snow glisten. It was so peaceful. Marie our guide showed us how to groom and saddle up the horses before we went out into the forest. This helped us bond with our ponies before the trek. A lovely evening. Thank you Giszmo ( my horse for the night).

Just went horse riding at night while on a ski holiday at beitostolen. Marie our guide for the evening picked us up at the tourist information centre and drove us to the stables. Where Marie showed my family and I how to groom, saddle and harness the horses. This was great has it allowed us to bond with our horse. Once outside our horses followed Marie's as she lead us through the snow covered forrest and open fields by torch light from our helmets. Would recommend to beginners and advanced horse riders. My two teenage lads had never been on a horse but both loved the experience. Marie is very friendly, professional and helpful and I would recommend if you come to Beitostolen you should try the night horse riding experience.

My two daughters and I had a lovely 2 hour experience at Myhregaard, grooming and getting to know the friendly ponies, then saddling and a 1 hour ride in the countryside. We were in Beitostoelen on a ski holiday, but I wanted to give my girls an experience from my happy childhood on horseback. The ponies were nice and calm, so even though the girls were beginners they had no problem riding proudly on their own. Thank you to our lovely tour leader Marie for making the experience very personal and enjoyable!
