Watched pants 'Babes in the Wood' last weekend - fantastic production and what a venue!! Had never been inside the theatre before - what a gem.
It is a converted methodist chapel resulting in an intimate venue which reminds of times gone by. Refreshments available at reasonable prices and everyone was so friendly.

How many theatre venues like The Broadbent are still in existence today? Surely, very few. Regardless of what is being presented, if you live in Lincolnshire, it's well worth visiting this little gem. A fascinating history with a proud link to Oscar winner Jim Broadbent, the converted chapel is small but beautifully preserved and maintained. The performance that we saw, as usual, is only half of the pleasurable experience - the rest comes from taking part simply by buying a ticket. Tip: arrive early and grab one of the pew seats on the front row!

If you haven't been to the Broadbent it really is worth a visit. The theatre is in a converted chapel and has a great atmosphere. I have been on several occasions the last time to see Mike Reinstein - for the folky in me. You can buy a drink before the performance starts and refresh it at half time. Wonderful!

Decent venue for acts and visiting companies to ply their " talents"
We were treated to an amateur rendition of midsummer nights dream .... Delightful!!!!
Only concern I would advise visitors is car park uneven for anyone with mobility issues ....
Would happily return for right act

My wife and I recently visited the Broadbent theatre for their annual pantomime. A very quant theatre. The pantomime was absolutely brilliant, not one of your usual traditional productions, but one brilliantly written, produced & co directed by Blair Greenwood-Reeves. A very clever piece of work had the audience rolling in the aisles from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

I've been going here since I was a child, and it is perfect - now the next generation of our family are starting to enjoy the annual pantomime tradition as well. Highly recommended, they put on a wide range of different productions and the pantomime is the highlight of the year!

I have just been to see a production of 'Time and the Conways' by the Lindsey Rural Players (LRP) in the Broadbent Theatre and I have to say it was just brilliant.
Built in 1878, the theatre was converted from Methodist Chapel to Theatre in 1971. It takes its name from Roy Broadbent who was among those involved in the conversion of the building. Roy's son is the famous actor of film and stage, Jim Broadbent, who is the Honorary President of LRP.
I booked tickets effortlessly on-line. The theatre is intimate but the seats were comfortable even for my 6 ft frame.
In the intervals there were a broad range of drinks and ices which were competitively priced.
The production was to the highest quality which was enhanced by the close intimacy the theatre delivers.
Wickenby isn't on the beaten path but isn't far from the A46 east of Lincoln and it is well worth beating a path to.
This lovely theatre offers a real treat for anyone, whether visiting or resident it is well worth bookmarking the website to see forthcoming attractions.
This was my first visit but it certainly won't be my last.
