We picked up a leaflet for here from the hotel lobby where we were staying and decided to pay a visit. We were only there for a few hours, but could easily have stayed longer. We were there in time for a flying display that took place on the lawn outside, but I understand that in bad weather they hold... More

Lovely place. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots of varied and interesting owls (and some other animals) to look at, with regular talks and flying displays. The birds and animals seem very humanely kept and looked after. The Only slight negative was the cafe. It was empty at 12:30, we asked to come in out of the drizzle to eat... More

Last minute decision to call here on a wet windy day and so glad we did! So much more than we expected- got to stroke about 8 hand reared owls and learn loads about them. There are also meerkats, emus, goats and ponies! Warmed up in the cafe with some very good cake too! Didn't eat in there but saw... More

Easy to get to from the A30 Newquay turning at the top of Hamburger Hill, follow the signs, park in the carpark. It is great because of the owls and the skill of the staff in getting visitors of all ages to get close to them. The flying display went on for ages and was awesome with owls gliding through... kids love this place, love the bird flying displays and up and close encounters with the birds, loved seeing the baby meer cats, and learning about the animals especially the comical racoons.

We had a lovely time at the Screech Owl Sanctuary today, despite the cold weather. Although you can pay to have a 1:1 experience with the owls, we found the handlers were more than happy to let us stroke the owls during their talks, and it was nice to hear the stories from them about the individual owls. We had... More

We had a great time at Screech Owl Sanctuary. My 4 year old loved it as did us three adults. So much to see and there is loads of space for kids to run about. The gift shop is fantastic and the tea room very reasonable. Would definitely go back!

Yesterday we went to Screech Owl Sanctuary for the first time and were very impressed. There was much more to see and do than we expected. Plus it was all level ground with no steps or slopes so ideal if you have a pushchair, wheelchair or limited mobility. They even have a wheelchair that you can borrow while you are... More
