Tours and Tickets by Fynbos Trail
Overview
The Cape Point tour is both Scenic and Historical. A network of great roads allows us to see some of the beautiful bays, beaches, scenery, lighthouses, shipwrecks, historic towns and suburbs of the Cape Peninsula.
The Fynbos Plant Kingdom, the smallest but one of the richest plant Kingdoms of the world, can be seen along Chapman's Peak Drive which is hailed as one of the most beautiful coastal passes in the world.
We visit Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, The African Jackass Penguin Colony, and Simon's Town, an ex-English Naval Base which is now South Africa's largest naval base.

We had an incredible few days on the trail and were so well looked after by Michelle, Emma and Ian. It was ambitious with very young children, but the beautiful trail made it an unforgetable experience and we gound an excellent way to get young ones into and enjoying nature.

What a special three day hike this was, in a beautiful and ecologically diverse part of the Western Cape. We learned so much from our guide Christof, who shared fascinating details and stories about the fauna and flora of the area. The forests on the hike are magnificent, and we enjoyed planting our own trees! I cannot recommend this hike highly enough - I would advise going with the guided option for a richer experience that gives you such appreciation for the magnificence of our fynbos. The accommodation was simple, but comfortable, and the food delicious. An unexpected highlight was a lunchtime feast in the forest on the second day. We also enjoyed swimming in the farm dams at the end of each day! There are many personal touches too on the hike - from receiving a signed copy of a book of the area, to wine-tasting, to planting our own trees, and finally, to receiving a certificate of completion with a bottle of honey from the area.…

We thoroughly enjoyed the Fynbos trail. The diversity of forest and fynbos is truly unique. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and added multiple dimensions to the hike we would completely have missed. The food and service is homely and tasty.

Wow! One of the best multi day hikes/trails I've done! Superb scenery and amazing flowers. Weather was perfect and Christoff our guide was a gem. We did the fully catered option and the food was outstanding. I would recommend doing the coastal add on..... Well worth it, and I would highly recommend for family's - my two teens found the info Christoff told us very interesting and we all learnt so much! Just what the doctor ordered, thank you!…

The Fynbos was spectacular. We hiked in rain and sleet but the views, when the mist lifted, were fantastic. Some of the paths had not been sufficiently cleared yet.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It was lovely to have the Siebrits and Baleta Families on our trail and embracing the bad weather in such amazing spirits. You were the first group on our trail post COVID lockdown and our team spent the week before clearing & opening up the trail again after many months of being closed and some heavy storms. The last few sections have been cleared and maintained in the week after your visit and the trail is fully ready for all our future hikers this season. We hope to welcome you back again.
