Nice for a stroll. Start by the dock and check out the fisherman bringing in their haul. Walk up to the statue of a mermaid and make a right. Scale a few stairs and you will be bewildered by the view! Get out the pano setting and take a few snaps! The light house is to your right, Playa Zicatela... More

The place to be to visit Lisa bar and restaurant for the best margarita and guacamole in the world and the best fresh oysters straight from the sea from the oyster men near the rocks for just a few dollars

Lots of action if you enjoy boats and sand walkers. Safe to swim, as lifeguard chair station is 50 ft from the beach.

Nice family oriented beach without the bars that line Zicatela blaring music. Quiet, but you can still rent a chair and umbrella and get a beer. The locals all show up after work with picnics for a pre dinner swim. Very nice beach.

Nice mix of locals & tourists with a pay-for-shade set-up, so be prepared to pick a lounge chair and at least sip on a fresh limonada,

This is the very end section of the main beach, the most in town. This is where the fishing boats come in, which can be fascinating. In the morning they approach the beach, at speed, and then glide up the beach on rollers. The selection and size of the fish they catch are amazing. However, some of the fish are... More

You can't swim on this beach as it is too dangerous and only suitable for surfers. Some good restaurants though

You can come in the morning to watch the fishermen unload fish but I was not too impressed by this beach and it is certainly not for swimming.

a real hole , not to clean and not too pleasant, the restaurants look poor and taste worse, we tried the best looking one, and we got a fish with odd smell wholly soaked in oil. skip this part , you have much much better choices in puerto escondido, don't spoil your vacation.

I don't swim here but in the mornings between about 7 and 8am the fishermen come back in to shore and sell their catch, straight from the boat to the buyer. Fantastic stuff, love to watch it all going on. If i ate fish, this is no doubt where I would buy it from!
